Amazing location right in the square with Parliament at one end and the palace at the other. A short walk to the main rail/bus station. Great staff, fabulour breakfast and bar. There is a restaurant for Pizza lovers. Our room was spacious and clean. Highly recommend.
Stayed in a suite for a night. Really great experience! A very comfortable experience in all aspects. Great friendly staff, nice room, nicely decorated, good drinks and a great breakfast with all you wish for. Highly recommended!
A nice hotel with a great and central location. Great service, especially in the small reception. The breakfast was delicious. Theater in the same building. Both restaurants, shopping and cultural venues within walking distance.
Great athmosphere, clean and quiet and rooms (if you have courtyard view). The breakfast is really good, with fresh orangejuice and great coffee! Also, all of the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend to try the pizza at Theatro, and in particular the "løyrom"!
Hotel with a perfect location right next to the Parliament. Central, yet sheltered from street noise. The first impression is a building with history in its walls, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Short distance to the main street, subway/airport express, tram and bus. Good standard of rooms. Excellent breakfast with plenty of space and comfortable background music. The rooms have good facilities for getting work done if needed. Room service is impeccable, and you are always greeted by service-oriented staff at the reception. Having stayed at various hotels in Oslo, this is now my first choice. An added bonus is the hotel's own bar and restaurant. A stay here offers a lot of value for the money.
The staff at HCT gave me a warm and kind welcoming. They are service minded and eager to give a pleasant stay. The interior is delicate and chic. Wonderful beds and pillows/duvet. The breakfast is very good. A generous variety of food, fresh and delicious. HCT is perfectly located in the city center of Oslo. I highly recommend a stay at HCT!
Stayed here for 2 nights on our first visit to Oslo. Location is perfect. The regional train from the airport, which is half the price and just as good as the express, stops at National Theatre which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Check-in was quick and efficient. The mainly self-service breakfast was as good as we have had in any hotel. An excellent range of food and drink, including smoked salmon and gravadlax. The dining room is one floor up from reception facing across the square. Our room (602) was on the top floor facing the front of the hotel. The view across the square was pleasant. The room itself was spacious, exceptionally clean and well-equipped. The complimentary Nespresso machine was much appreciated. There is a well-stocked minibar and some nibbles in the room too. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom and walk-in shower excellent. There are some points about our room which travellers may find helpful. The dividing wall between the bathroom and the bed is made of frosted glass. When the light is on in the bathroom it lights up the bedroom. This makes it difficult to use the bathroom at night without disturbing your significant other, despite the thoughtful addition of dimmer switches in the bathroom. The bathroom door is also made of frosted glass. There is a gap about 2cm wide between the door and the door frame. The gap gives a view of the toilet from the outside, which could prove unfortunate if it were in use! It also means that sounds from the bathroom are heard in the bedroom. While on the subject of sound, there are tramlines running directly in front of the hotel. Although our room was at the top of the hotel, and double-glazed, the sound of the trams, and the ice rink in the park opposite were heard clearly during the day and evening. The room was perfectly quiet at night. However, those who require a very quiet room during the day are advised to request a quiet room. I shared these points with the hotel on leaving by way of feedback rather than complaint. To be fair they said we were not the first to mention these points and they would be looking to remedy them in the future. We would certainly look to stay here again when visiting Oslo, and we have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.…
My husband and I traveled to Norway for vacation and I’m so glad I found this hotel. It was so easy to get to from the local train station. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Every staff member was so helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is gorgeous and around so many shops / restaurants.
Pleasant welcome. Happy and welcoming staff, super service, clean rooms with a good size, great breakfast where they make a good cappuccino for you if you ask. I will definitely book my next stay in Oslo here.
Nice and friendly, helpfull staff, fantastic breakfast, lots of organic food, with barista! Clean room, comfy bed and waterfall shower 😍 The location is perfect, close to Aker Brygge, the castle and public transport. Will visit again!
