All tastefully decorated for Christmas! Received a very warm welcome from the reception staff. They also dealt with queries about the safe, coffee machine and Oslo Pass. The hotel room was large, bright, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was of a very good quality and there was always somewhere nice to sit with enough space between all the tables, making it a relaxing way to gradually wake up! The hotel was very convenient for the metro and tram - only a short walk away. We did not feel too far from the centre or the other neighbourhood districts where we had planned activities and meals out. Checking out was done in a flash but I was very sorry to have to leave!

I stayed at the Thon Storo for a meeting at Forskningsparken (Science Park) which was convienent quick to travel to via T-bane. Moreover, the airport busses are leaving from a station (Storo) nearby. To go to the city center the bus or T-bane or tram are recommended (check and buy tickets via the ruter app). The staff was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations with a variety of high-quality and often homemade products that will not be easy to find elsewhere. Coffee and water are provided round the clock near the reception. The whole building seemed new and in very good condition. The standard rooms had a decent size that allowed to unpack a suitcase and do some business work. I enjoyed my stay so much that I prolonged my stay after the meeting and did not move to a more centrally located hotel. Thus, the Thon Hotel Storo is definitely worth a recommendation.

Had to change rooms after 1 minute due to strong perfume smell in the room. In the new room, room 541, there was an annoying buzzing sound from the ventilation system that we didn't notice until late at night when the room became quiet.
The sound was a blissful mixture of several things, but ruined the night's sleep after this.
Breakfast the next day was so-so. Hard-boiled eggs were overcooked and green and some were not as fresh as desired.
A pity as this is always the hotel we check first when we go to Oslo, next time we will probably look elsewhere first.

A great hotel, nice and relatively clean rooms, good beds, pleasant service but has a lot to go on when it comes to planning and assigning rooms to guests. My experience on the night of Saturday was impeccable and would have led to a full pot, but the experience on the night of Sunday was quite horrible. There was an event on the first floor, I was allocated a business room on the second floor probably directly above the hall where the event was held, the music and bass from this event could be heard and felt throughout the room and any chance of getting a second of sleep before this was ended or dampened around 1 o'clock was impossible, then it seemed that the party continued on div. hotel room close by and the hallway outside my room until the late hours of the night. With the help of noise-reducing earplugs, I finally managed to fall asleep, but no good hotel experience, one can safely say, here the rooms should have been allocated differently based on who was actually going to be at the event and who was there for other reasons.

I wouldn't call the hotel exclusive. But it's a perfectly ok hotel to stay a couple of nights at. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The cleaning was not the best we have experienced, dusty moldings and bathroom benches. Large nice bathroom with underfloor heating. Unfortunately, both shampoo and conditioner, as well as soap at the sink, are missing. One evening I saw a bell-crawler in the bathroom, less pleasant… Unfortunately, it is incredibly responsive so you hear everything that happens outside the door and on the floor above. The breakfast was wonderful, there really is everything between heaven and earth. We ate at the restaurant one evening, expensive, extremely small portions and the staff would need to learn what service means. Do not recommend a visit to the restaurant. The location of the hotel was good. Located right outside a shopping center and about 5 minutes walking distance to the subway.

Thon Hotel Storo in Nydalen has a lot going for it: modern decor, friendly and service-minded staff, and a lovely breakfast spread that makes mornings a treat. Its location near BI Business School is also convenient for those in town for studies or business.
However, my stay was marred by one major issue—lack of sleep. Despite setting the room temperature to 17°C, the room stayed uncomfortably warm, well over 20°C, even with the window cracked open (as much as it could go) on a chilly November night. The heat was oppressive, making it impossible to get a good night's rest. To make matters worse, a manhole cover on the street outside created a loud "clunk" every time a car passed over it, adding to the frustration.
The hotel itself is lovely and offers good value, but for me, sleep quality is paramount. Unfortunately, the excessive heat and street noise completely ruined the experience. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to room temperature, this is something to keep in mind before booking.

Thon's newest and most modern hotel in Oslo. Everything is welcoming and clean, the service good, and the breakfast exceptional. Good soundproofing. I would rather choose this hotel with the above facilities than a more central hotel where you get less for your money. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the subway, and from there 10-15 minutes by subway to the city, well worth it!

Came straight from Oslo airport via Flex3 bus which is about four blocks away from the hotel. Taking the metro would be convenient and it is about three blocks from Storo station. Although I arrived about 3 1/2 hours early, room was available and I was able to check in. Both check in and check out are made quick and easy with reception personnel.
Room was comfortable size and bathroom big by European standards. I was on third floor. View to street which was nice and quiet. Room has small fridge, electronic safe, and tv. Towels and basic soap/ shampoo combination is provided. Bed was very comfortable.
Restaurant serving breakfast is big with a large selection of cold and hot foods. Plenty of juices, Cofee and tea. My favorite was Friday which had a selection of energy shots. The hotel is a block away from a big shopping mall where you can get anything you may have forgotten or would like to purchase. This is definitely a good please to stay at. You also have buses and metro nearby.
