We chose this hotel for it's location and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and they let us check in early, which was wonderful. We came in from the DFDS boat and left by way of the train station. This location was perfectly in the middle of the two within easy walking distance. It was close to the harbor and shopping areas as well. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities offered. The breakfast was outstanding and they serve it quite early which was perfect for the morning we left on the Norway in a Nutshell trip. They had espresso machine to use all day which was perfect. The room was roomy and the bathroom was nice. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Oslo for a few nights.

We had returned to Oslo after ten days touring Norway in a rental car. We had stayed in Oslo three days (different less expensive hotel) prior, but upon our return to Oslo found almost all hotels fully booked due to the Mela Festival that weekend. We booked this hotel as it was one of our few options. As my title states, there are 3 things we liked. THE VIEW: we were on the 12th floor (room 1208) with a balcony and a 180 degree view of the city. Sweeeet! LOCATION: really a short walk to the harbor or the train station (we were taking the express train to the airport upon leaving) and close to several restaurants for dining out. BREAKFAST; really everything one would want, a huge spread, fresh and very good. This is quite a fancy hotel, but a few amenities we didn't really care if we had or not. Bathrobes & slippers, sure we used the bathrobes because they were there, slippers no. Kitchen, small and not needed, did not want to cook. Negatives: the bathroom shower here is very small and when using it gets the toilet and bathroom floor all wet as there is no shower door! Small table (and two chairs) in the center of the room with a low hanging light fixture that I bumped my head on frequently. The bed is in a tiny separate room with a sliding door on each side of the room. Poor design. We really did enjoy the balcony view, however it was mostly too cold or raining to enjoy sitting out there. For the price paid, this room is much too small.

Fantastic hotel, great location for the station and opera house. Breakfast fab with a good range of gluten free options. We had a bit of a mix up with our room at check-in but the hotel professionally and helpfully sorted everything out. Staff are lovely. There is a drying room also on the 8th floor which is useful for wet days in Oslo. We had the business suite but be aware that you need to pay 125 NOK (£10) for hire of pots/pans and a kettle if you want to cook. Thank you. We had a great time.

I am using this hotel every time I come to Oslo on business...the location is very good, close to Oslo Sentral, and the Hotel has everything you need for a pleasant short stay, including a full breakfast buffet.

We only had the one night in Oslo and arrived very late at this hotel. The room was basic but functional. We liked the fact that there was a balcony, but we found the bathroom less functional. When using the shower it soaked the toilet and the toilet paper, so as a wet room it really did not work. That said the shower was powerful and good! Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The hotel is also conveniently located and is reachable on foot from the station. The design of the wet room/bathroom would be the only reason I would hesitate staying more than one night here.
