The staff were very supportive and let us stay till 2 pm as we had a late night flight. They even let us keep our luggage till the evening. The view from the room & the corridors were awesome. However, double beds should be available for couples instead of 2 single separate beds. The room temperature should be controlled from individual rooms instead of central control, as informed by the staff.

Stayed here for 3 nights, this hotel is very nice and comfortable. The room is quite comfortable and the bedroom is best:large and heated floor. Breakfast is super best with variety of food including salmon and other type of small fishes I couldn’t figure out. Tea, coffee, juice, all kinds of breads, fishes, salads etc you can pick from the tables. Note that this hotel is attached to the UNN Hospital, so you have to enter right from the main entrance of the hospital. I had trouble finding the entrance when I arrived at the hotel and had to phone the reception to open the other door at the back yard. The location is quite far from city center, 20 minutes drive by public transportation. But once you take the bus, it won’t be hard to learn bus route in Tromso because it is just small city. Take bus number 20 from city center to this hotel and single ticket cost you NOK37

being a wheelchair use I was staying at this hotel for 5 days in December 2018. It proved to be a very good choice. I was especially pleased with the very high level of wheelchair access in my room. Usually more or less of a problem, the bathroom was truly excellently accessible, even featuring a height adjustable sink and equally adjustable grab rails. My single bed was indeed a bit narrow, but otherwise quite comfortable to sleep in. The hotel offers lovely views of the fjord and the lower parts of Tromsø, although aurora photographers will be unhappy with the amount of light pollution on and around the university campus and lack of picture taking opportunities without window glass and the unavoidable reflections it brings with it. I was able to spot the aurora from my very hotel room, but, again, the picture I tried to take of it was marred by the dirty window glass. The hotel offers a very good breakfast. Yes, it is the patients hotel of the university hospital, but the trade-offs from this location are quite acceptable. If you are less mobile and must plan for really bad weather, the alleged cons are really pros, I was very happy with the weather-independent moving space and infrastructure provided on the premises. Bus connections both into downtown as well as to the airport and the Jekta shopping centre are excellent. If you are a disabled traveller like me, I highly recommend this place.
