#15 of 19 hotels in Tromso
Enter Viking Hotel is situated right in the heart of Tromsø. The reception at this distinctive blue hotel is open 24/7 and the hotel’s friendly staff are always on hand to assist guests. We look forward to providing our guests with good tips and advice about how to get the most out of their stay. We can also assist with reserving tables at local restaurants and booking activities and other excursions. We offer guests free tea and coffee around the clock and freshly made waffles every evening from 17.00 – 21.00. As our room rates are among the lowest in the city, our guests get extremely good value for money. Enter Viking Hotel also has Tromsø’s best range of excellent centrally-located apartments. Regardless of whether you are visiting the city with a group of friends for the weekend or working here for an extended period, we are sure to have an apartment that suits your needs.

Hotel cancelled my reservation and said my card was invalid. Gave them the card three times and called in to speak to someone. They cancelled my reservation and still charged me. How can you charge an “invalid card?” Garbage people, garbage hotel, garbage service. Ask for a refund, credit, anything, but fed a line of BS. Stay elsewhere.

This place looks close to a scam. We made our booking in early June, and it is still possible to book there, but according to them (when I called them), it has been closed since March, and guests are "upgraded" to Enter City Hotel. I suspect them of trying to keep two sales channels open, even though only one hotel is actually running. We selected Viking because of its location, but ended up somewhere else. We were informed of the move just a few hours before arrival (too late to practically rebook somewhere else, probably not by coincidence), pretty unprofessional if it is true that they closed the place in March. Let's have a look at what the description of our "superior room" said, and I what we actually got (a worn down apartment - they said the "upgrade" was the possibility to make our own breakfast - had we wanted or needed that, we would have booked it in the first place) : "A room with a city view": our room had a window towards a concrete wall and a narrow back yard. "A work desk for your PC": if you like to work on a kitchen table, perhaps… "Daily cleaning": no cleaning until we complained there was no cleaning, we then had to fetch our own towels in a cupboard in the basement (covid precautions, where are you)? "Luxurious toiletries and towels": I already mentioned the towels, the toiletries were a wall soap dispenser "Minibar": an empty refrigerator "Bar lounge and 24/7 reception": no bar/lounge, we never ever saw anyone in the reception during our 4-night stay, you had to call them, no service available "Tea and coffee in the common area": absolutely not, but an intense smell of stir fry from the restaurant downstairs was present in all common areas (luckily not in the room). Stay away from this place! I rarely award the lowest rating, but this one deserves it.

This is a simple, small size hotel that is clean and very well located. Once block walk to many restaurants and sightseeing places in the small and quaint Tromsø. The front staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and the bathrooms have heated floors.

Perfectly situated hotel in town. It was ideal for what I needed, which was a warm room comfortable bed and close to the pick up points for trips and tours. The airport shuttle stop is just around the corner and cafes/bars etc are just around the other corner. I could leave my luggage in secure room after checkout as my flight was later in the evening. The whole experience here was easy and comfortable. Special mention to Sam & Aleysha, for their welcoming hospitality. I’d stay here again on the friendliness of them both! A credit to the hotel.
