We had a traditional cabin 2 adults and 2 kids both rooms were bunk beds. Cabin had everything you would need. It was freezing outside but the cabin was so warm. It's outside the town so we were very lucky to see the NL above the cabins. There's a small cafe which did shut early. Which was my only problem would have liked for it to stay open a bit later. Staff were very good and helpful. Managed to book reindeer sledge and the coach picked you up at the campsite so no need to go into town. There's a large supermarket which took us about 30 minutes to walk there due to the snow and about 2 hours to walk back cause there's a couple of small slopes that the kids and us would slide on. Great fun. Didn't find much in the town probably due to Covid at the time so only went there once and took a taxi back to the campsite. Breakfast was good plenty of choice.

The cabin was beautiful, clean and the view from it just fantastic. The whole stay overall was a great experience and I can not wait until I return in the winter to hunt the polar lights. Tromso Lodge & Camping - Explorer cabin is definitely my n.1 choice !

The Beds are somehow seprates not a King bed and thats a big downsize, other than that I can say its a good experience. The staff can be butter thou. Evrything was clean and neat to the best. The reception should have the Ipad taxi so evryone can order a taxi easily.

Response from Mats Andersson, Annet at Tromso Lodge & Camping

Dear hammodvic, Thank you so much for taking the time to share some feedback from your stay with us! Most of our beds are twin beds, except for the single and double bunk beds in the Traditional cabin. But we will for sure consider installing king size beds in the future! I'm very sorry to read your comment regarding the reception staff. I would highly appreciate if you could send me an e-mail to further explain, so that we can we can improve if we didn't meet your expectations - mats@tuil.no We had an iPad in the reception for ordering taxis. But due to covid restrictions we had to have it removed. Now that we're more or less through the pandemic, I will make sure that we have one in the reception for guests to use. I truly hope we get to see you again! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me. :) Best wishes, team Tromsø Lodge & Camping and Mats

It was too expensive but the place is great cosy and big enough to a couple in a cabin. totally recommended to spend some days out of the city. You have around 15 minutes to the Arctic church but there are buses too.

From arrival to departure seven days later, we found both staff and facilities to be of the highest quality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From arranging tours, taxis, service was faultless. My family included my daughter and two grand children (17 and 24). I am 74 and can truly say it far exceeded any expectations I had. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our stay at Tromsø Lodge & Camping was great! Staff was very helpful, the cabin was clean and the food at the restaurant was quite good! The only small drawback is that the cabin explorer is a bit tight for 4 adults.

Very nice Lodge and camping site. We were very friendly welcomed and well taken care of during the stay. It is easy to access with bus from Tromsø city with 6 min to walk from the bus station. We booked some activities from the reseption, it was easy and uncomplicated.
