Have stayed at Scandic Havet a number of times in recent years and have been very satisfied.
Maybe mostly because of the splendid views from the superior rooms on the top floor.
Other guests have been reporting poor TV solutions, poor lighting solutions, etc., etc.
But this is more and less pervasive for most hotels; actually very rarely one finds one hotel where the convenience is prioritized in terms of power output, light over bed, good bathroom light, etc, etc, etc.
So this is what I've learned to live with.
But what was totally miserable about this visit was the check-in!
We arrived a little early (clock 13), and not expected to get any room so early since the normal procedure is that at most room reservations it is indicated that it is check-in from clock 15.
However, after guests have checked out at 11-12 hours, the cleaning staff is in the process of making the rooms ready for new guests.
And we therefore asked if there could be a possibility to get assigned one room when one was ready.
But got then to answer that it was completely impossible; it was check in at 4:00 and the rooms were allocated and it could not be changed!! Thus basta!
This is something I have rarely experienced before (has about 3000 hotel nights); most places try to provide service, and get guests booked as soon as possible.
But not here.
The result was a building up with guests in the lobby waiting to check in, and there were eventually no seats to go.
And when it was finally 4:00, everyone had to line up; a line that now extended through the front door and out on the sidewalk!
Check-in time: 50 minutes!!
This unfortunately ruined our hotel impression; next time it will be Radisson; there you also get rooms with views !

Hotel's Favorite
Central location with stunning views over the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Minor issues with no USB ports in bedrooms and rooms too hot at 24-26oC (but one can open the window). Very good breakfast buffet and good restaurant on top floor.

Love, love love the views from this hotel! We had a room on the 16th floor overlooking the harbor... floor to ceiling windows with a gorgeous view of all the activities. And the Midnight sun was fabulous! Attended a family wedding in Bodo and this was a return trip to Bodo and this hotel. Staff was friendly. Check in and out very smooth and quick. Rooms are a good size and provide enough space to spread out a bit. Beds and linens are very comfortable. Windows only open a bit and no AC however it was cool enough that it was OK. Breakfast is located on the second floor with good views. Very plentiful and a good variety. It seems like they "cut back" a bit on the variety since we were here 8 years ago but that is like everywhere. The hotel has a restaurant (did not eat there), bar and wrap around balcony on the 17th floor. Provide nice views of the city and surrounding area. A nice place to enjoy happy hour or an after-dinner drink. Hotel is located in a very walkable area to the marina and downtown area where there are a number of restaurants, bars and shopping. Front desk has an online request for taxis that you can schedule in advance. Nice. Would definitely recommend.

If you have a food allergy, this hotel is not a place you want to stay. A four-course dinner lacked the provision of allergies, which the hotel was informed about two months before arrival. For dessert, two raspberries were served with a small dollop of milk, while others without allergies received a large piece of delicious chocolate cheese with a sorbet. Raised it with the chef, who curtly dismissed that this is what you get. Here, competence enhancement is needed in the service area.

Quite a decent hotel. But they have actually blocked the use of the HDMI connectors on the TV in the room so that you cannot watch your own content from the PC if you wish. Asked the reception about this and was told that this was "scandic policy". This is not true as we have stayed in Scandic hotels all over Scandinavia and everyone has had the opportunity to do this. So that this hotel chooses to live in the 90s they almost have to pay for themselves!! So if you want to watch a netflix movie in the evening or just work with a bigger screen on your PC, choose a different hotel than this one.

The hotel is great. Large beautiful windows with super views, just a pity that the windows were so dirty that it got annoying.
The room in 13th floor was fine, but during the stay of three nights the cleanliness was in the best case deficient. Not changed coffee cups, not arranged beds and missed towels.
Not very good when from the elevator we almost had to step over a cleaner sitting on the floor with the mobile. Here there is a lack of follow-up and ⁇ training.
Breakfast was very good and the service was quick to arrange table and fill on food.
The bar on top has a fantastic location. However, a downturn, generally lack of cleaning, not washed off and cleaned the table, seemed like there were too few at work that contributed to the ordering took a lot of time.
Not ⁇ service-oriented people at work either.
Have stayed here several times before and this time there was a lot to put your finger on...unfortunately

After a lukewarm welcome at the front desk, the first room we got was very cold. The window had been left open, in December! The lamp on the nightstand did not work: it was missing the bulb. We asked for another room. Now the corner lamp did not work and I could not connect to the open wifi. Another trip to the front desk… I was given a sheet of paper with a QR code to connect and told they had two different wifis at the hotel and only one of them worked. (why wasn’t I told on check in?) This worked.
Cleanliness was also lacking: hair from previous guests in the shower drain, lime stains that should have been cleaned.
Breakfast was very good with many choices.

Scandic Havet is an excellent choice for a stay in Bodø. Located in the city center within a 5-minute walk to everything, Bodø Concert Hall, street shops, restaurants, ferries to Lofoten Archipelago, and many other local attractions. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is exceptional with many options for hot, cooked food, fruit, and vegetables. Very happy with my stay here.

Stayed here after my flight was cancelled following the snow storms. Staff were really helpful on checking in and at the restaurant/bar after a long day of delays.
Rooms were of a good standard/quality and the breakfast had a variety of options to suit all.
Thank you again! 👍

Great hotel with a pleasant and professional staff.
Breakfast buffet was of high standard as expected on the Scandic hotels.
ROAST restaurant on the top floor gives you an incredible view of Bodø city on one side and the islands and ocean on the other side!
Food and service in the restaurant was equally good as the hotel itself.
Clean rooms, made up every day, fresh towels if you leave the used ones on the floor and they let you reuse them if you let the hang on the hook.

Hi. The breakfast is served Monday-Friday 6.30am-9.30am, Saturday 7am-10am and Sunday 8am-11am. I really enjoyed the breakfast.
There is no parking facility near the hotel. And the poor overworked only girl at the reception had no idea where to find a place. I found a big open area, not far from the hotel two blocks up the road across the church. Just make sure to remove your car before and during weekend church services.
