Graetzlhotel actually offers rooms in three different districts in Vienna: 1020 at the Karmelitermarket, 1040 nearby the Belvedere and 1120 next to Meidlinger Market. So it is much more than a hotel. The suites are located in former premises and their design is corresponding with the original use. Equipment: free wifi / minibar / safe / kitchenette with nespresso machine and samova tea selection / flat screen tv / bathroom with rain shower / spa minibar / lots of space for personal items. Upon arrival at the Graetzl, probably the biggest hotel lobby in the world, globetrotters get a first glimpse of the authentic life of the city. The great part about that: you'll be convinced when you set foot in the suite, either directly from the street or through a typical Viennese courtyard. The rooms are designed with a love for detail. The rigors of travel fall into a feeling of relief on arrival.
These units are very unique, spacious, and clean and come with a miniature kitchenette. Next door to a nice restaurant and walkable to downtown. We visited in September when the temperature was 80F, and the room didn't cool down until late at night. There is a remote that looks like you can set the temperature, but it doesn't actually work. There is NO front desk, so check-in was very confusing (had to ask the restaurant to call someone to be let in) and replies to messages takes a few days. Website also states that there is free Wifi...but does NOT give you the name or password. When we finally received this info, the network was not even available. So would not recommend if needing to get work done, but if just for sleeping and visiting the city, perfect spot!

i loved my stay here. every apartment is different. exposed brick and cement floors with lush wool curtains and plush bedding and with your own door to the streets of vienna make this a unique, urban adventure. i coud have lived there! and marie, from the office was AWESOME. i thought i wanted a hotel so i could have a front desk, not needed. marie was accommodating and smart and so helpful. so you feel like you live in an artist loft, but you have friends when you need them. cant recommend enough.

I had a voucher for "graetzlhotel" and when I arrived there is no room booked for me. Somebody apologized me by cell phone and moved me in a single room alone beside a garage. The room alone with a door directly to the road. I was unsecured and alone. The room was clean and the bathroom excellent. No aircon and the service was by unprofessional in the moment I was there. No wifi and it was a nightmare. A young couple try to fulfill my mind that is a new concept which is not the same I was thinking for a HOTEL

The accommodation is stylish, functional and in a good location. The equivalent of serviced apartments. We stayed for 4 nights. Both check in and departure were straightforward and it was easy to arrange for our luggage to be looked after until our flight which was late afternoon. There is a vibrant market across the road from the apartment and restaurants and bars very close by. It is a quiet location but easily accessible to the historic centre. We would stay here again if we returned to Vienna

This is the ultimate urban experience to travel like local. Great concept that change destination use of the traditional shops. The suite is really well located. You can ride Vienna by bus and underground, or by bike and electric scooter. The interior design is inspired by the contemporary Nordic Style: good quality and great functionality. We reccomend for short beautifull stay.

The concept for this is accommodation is interesting it’s like an easy style hotel there is no reception you have a code and this enables you to take your key from a safe on the wall However unwelcoming this May seem the accommodation was very modern stylish comfortable and clean the room was very large as it is a shop conversion its was a comfortable place to stay and was very well priced for Vienna it is a great location walking distance to everywhere we had a problem with a smelly shower drain and the phone number to contact the staff was very helpful they offered us another room immediately and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and beers I would stay here again

We just stayed here for a few days. I wish they would have advertised that they are not a typical hotel where there’s a lobby etc. The only way to store luggage is in their office which is 20-25 mins away and you would need to take the train. It would also be nice to know that there’s no daily housekeeping which would have been nice when vacationing. Pros: 5-8 walk to train/bus station. Spacious. Modern and chic look. It has a little kitchenette with a fridge, sink, pots and pans, utensils, plates, glasses. It even has bathrobes and slippers. Nice location and seemed very safe. Lots of restaurant options. Cons: Door is quite heavy, difficult to bolt. Not sure if it’s safe and will be difficult to open in case of emergency. There are no washcloths in the bathroom. No kitchen towels and not enough floor rugs for the size of the bathroom. The pillows are pretty much just fluff wish they could change these. Big shower head not working well. Check-out is not clear - I had to email the office. There’s no option to leave luggage if you still want to tour the city before check out I would definitely stay here again even with the cons. Having a hotel with a fridge is not something I can always find in Europe.…

We arrived at night and picked up our key from the safe box with no problem. The rooms/mini-apartments are fantastic. The property is close to all the Kosher restaurants and synagogues and for an Orthodox person looking for somewhere to be over Shabbat, it is Perfect. The rooms are clean with great facilities ( the bed was a little hard), but apart from that, all was great. There is a supermarket down the road and it is a 10 minute walk into the center of town. I would definitely consider recommending this place to others or booking again, if I was ever in Vienna, The only Niggle was leaving bags on a Sunday. Nothing is open and it was a problem. In the end, we left that at Chabad ( 100meters down the road) and picked them up at 5.30pm.

This is a great place to stay. Literally looking onto one of the roads through your window! Very cosy and nicer than staying in a hotel I thought. A nice touch with a Nespresso machine. The only issue was when checking in. The email I was sent was not in perfect English and would be better being re-written by and English native so it could be better expressed. I had to call the mobile number to get assistance which was easily done. It was only a minor detail but it could have definitely made the check in process easier. Also, the shower wasn't fully working. To get the 'rainfall' shower head working you had to hold the lever the whole time you were in the shower or the water would come out of the other shower head. This needs fixing.

I don't think I have ever stayed in such a unique spot! Ideally located (10 minutes walk from the city centre and 5 minutes from the closest underground station), this apartment was an ideal base for us to explore Vienna from. We were in room 206. Check in was super easy, with just carefully following the steps in the email. The apartment was super clean and very high quality - the shower was great, the toiletries were lovely and the beds very comfy! There was also very good underfloor heating. This isn't for everyone - being right on the street does sometimes make you feel like you are in a shop window but we loved it. It is however worth noting that it is incredibly quiet. We loved having the option to take the bikes out for the day free of charge and made full use of these. A few little comments - the lock to our door was very very stiff so might need looking at! The pillows were also very soft so not to everyone's liking. If you want to leave luggage for a day, it is quite a trek - we ended up just carting it around with us. I would highly recommend a stay here!…
