On the world-famous Ringstrasse Viennese elegance triumphantly returns with Florian Weitzers "Grand Ferdinand". Here tradition is not about looking back, it is about celebrating forward, inspired by the idea of recapturing an era in Vienna in which nothing was more meaningful than life itself. With 186 gorgeous rooms including four suites and one Grand Suite, a refreshing outdoor rooftop pool (23 degrees) and 3 incredible restaurants the Grand Ferdinand is ready and delighted to charm its guests from different cultures and places all over the world. The inspiration comes from the passionate and experienced hotelier Florian Weitzer. With an eye for architectural treasures. This basis is what gives the Grand Ferdinand its unique and elegant charm: That a noble and modest building from the early 1950's transforms into an extraordinary hotel that reflects Vienna's rich cosmopolitan history in the present.

Extraordinary Hotel. Good taste of the interior - the mix of modern and the old days make you feel how Vienna must have been and still is: historic, vibrant, cosy, grand. Excellent restaurants, fantastic top floor with pool and view. Outstanding quality of the bed - but don't expect a fully darkened room - the extravaganza if the architect went a bit too far there 😄 Impeccable service. Discreet, friendly and professional. If you travel with a small kid, you will get even more smiles from the staff. We will be back.

Great hotel. Great location. The room was big, but you got to be a couple to use the bathroom facilities. Quite open. Good ac and a nice view. The pool area is really small and it seems people that are not staying in the hotel are welcome there. And then there are no room for guests :( Parking is a bit expensive and a short walk from the hotel.

Dear Simone, thank you very much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, but we certainly regret that you could not always find enough space at our pool. Our Grand Etage is accessible for hotel guests and Grand Etage Club Members only, but certainly there are times where it is more crowded than usual, which we hardly can avoid. We truly hope to welcome you back the other day and remain with best regards, Andreas Schebrek Front Office Manager

Nice location within Viennese Ring. The hotel has an open round-year pool with a fascinating street view — the pool is located on the 8th floor. All cosmetics in the rooms are quite new and are being refreshed according to the season of the year. Free water as a compliment and you can always ask for a free phone charger if you occasionally forgot your own. Also don’t forget to checkout one of three fancy restaurants in hotel — you may start your day with a breakfast on a rooftop.

I stayed here twice and had a wonderful experience on each occasion. The hotel is in a very good location--close to the main stations and within a thirty minute walk of the main sights and sites. Breakfast is very good and Sunday brunch is superb. A very good cocktail list which I worked my way through in the 8th floor bar or outside terrace-depending on the weather. I also had a very good evening meal there which included an excellent steak tartare. Florian, Gregor and Yvette in the restaurant were very helpful, friendly and attentive during my two visits. I would highly recommend staying here.

The Grand Ferdinand hotel was a good choice in Vienna, good quality for price and the location is very convenient to all principal museums and attraction to visit. In the SchubertRing close to center StephansDom, close to Secession, close to Belvédère, close to Albertina, close to Hofsburg Palace, close to Borrome church and close to green metro line that goes to Schonnbrun Palace. In few words you can have all attractions within walking distance. The hotel room is a little to small in my opinion but bed is very comfy. The breakfast is good but half buffet half served and service is slow.
