We had the triple room which was really good, very well designed and spotlessly clean. Only two downsides to the room were the lack of air con and the towels were shabby. As the room was hot we had to leave the window open so there was noise in the morning. Come out of high summer and it wouldn't be... More

The positives: The staff is friendly and attentive, the high ceilings are a plus, and my room was clean and large. The train station is also about 5-10 mins walk and its a short ride to the city Centre. That said: It seems Austrian standards are pretty lax as this place is by no stretch of the international imagination a... More

It's a nice hotel, 10 minutes from the subway to the center of Vienna. It's not a nice neighborhood at night, with questionable guys wandering around a couple of neighborhood strip clubs. My wife was not comfortable. Parking is right at the hotel, if you can find a spot. I was three blocks away one night. The rooms are nice,... More

We just returned from our 3 night trip to Vienna for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This is a nice smallish hotel with great rooms ... We had a Relax Suite. Good breakfast, good value for money. Room had no air conditioning and it was very hot ... We had windows open but street noise (from pedestrians not cars) kept us... More

Convenient 5 minute walk from the Prater Station in a quiet side road this excellent hotel served us well on our 3-night stay in Vienna. Excellent breakfast and well worth the cost. We opted for the junior suite which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The staff were both helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the walk into the... More

Our friends booked this hotel for us principally because it was near to their home. First impressions were good, the staff were friendly and efficient and gave good advice. The room was clean, large and comfortable, we both slept very well. We used this hotel as a base and did not have any meals there but it's good placemnt near... More

The location is great, 15min walk to the funpark Prater and 3min walk to the subway station. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious enough with a cosy bathroom with a large shower (we were staying in a deluxe double bedroom). The room looked exactly like in the pictures on the website - no illusions! :-) Rooms were always clean as... More

Nice, not very big hotel, seems to be freshly renovated. It is very cosy hotel, with small (but very nice) rooms. What I appreciate is large bathroom with modern arrangements :-) Breakfast is good, but what was very good, was the coffee - espresso was one of the best ;-)

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
