We stayed for 3 nights in March - just before the general lockdown in Europe - and we had such a great time in this hotel. The location is amazing, very central, close to the Opera and the Musikverein. The rooms are very clean. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. Very special thanks to the French speaker concierge ! We definitely recommand this hotel !
Fantastic beautiful room Staff were amazingly helpful Huge room and very clean. Location was amazing so close to the opera. Can't recommend this hotel enough Very impressive hotel , 5 star staff and so close to the city centre
The Ring is in a great location, and the food in the restaurant is good, but other than that nothing works. And I mean "nothing." Here are a few examples: (1) I e-mailed the hotel 5 days before my husband and I arrived, asking about assistance getting certain concert tickets. I used the on-line form from the hotel website, which specifically is geared to guest assistance such as getting tickets. I didn't get a reply. I called twice over the following days to follow-up, and both times was told "sorry, we'll look for your e-mail and get back to you." I finally got a reply, the day before we arrived, that no tix were available. (2) we pulled up to the hotel in our car - no bell-hop, no one to assist. We left the car on the street and I went into the lobby, not a single employee to be found, including at the reception desk. I called out "hello?" and someone came out from a back room and walked away to help another guest. I called "hello?" again, and another employee came out. She said the bell hop was busy, and she came out and helped haul in our luggage. (3) the elevator didn't work. We took our bags up in the elevator and the doors wouldn't close. We took the elevator a few hours later, same problem. We reported to the front desk that the elevator wasn't working (how could they not know??), and they put up a sign that the elevator was broken/closed. We used another elevator for the duration of our stay. (4) in the (small) gym, the cardio equipment has TV's wired to it (the equipment to me seemed outdated - not integrated TV screens) with instructions on how to turn on the TVs. I followed the instructions, nothing happened. I asked an employee how to turn on the TV, they didn't know, and sent up a bellman who turned them on (in a way different from the instructions). (5) when we went to breakfast in the morning, the woman checking-us in didn't have us on the list for breakfast (we had reserved a room that includes breakfast). Like I said, great location, but everything about this hotel is unorganised and chaotic. I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend staying here. I'm a big fan of Relais and Chateaux hotels and we've stayed at a number of them. We booked this hotel due to it's inclusion in the Relais & Chateaux group, and were very disappointed. I imagine it's only a matter of time before it's no longer a member of this group.…
From the moment we arrived the level of service was incredible. The bar staff were very attentive. We dined in the bar twice, the goulash is a must have. Our room was very spacious and had lots of complimentary essentials. Looking to return to Vienna later this year and wouldn’t stay anywhere else other than the Ring hotel.
Lovely stay, my room was smaller this time but it was still a good size, the previous times I had a very large room. The room was comfortable and clean. Modern and elegant. Bath very new and modern. Bed comfortable. People nice and profesional. Also very accommodating, they were kind to allow me late check out so I could early to my conference, attend all meetings and then take care of the check out, packing and change to comfortable clothes for my trip back home.
