This hotel is very affordable in a central location of Vienna. The breakfast is very very good and the staff in the breakfast room very professional and polite also friendly unusual for Vienna but was nice The bedroom compact but has everything you need the only negative would be poor lighting Also tiny fridge The safe is on the floor... This is a good hotel, but with some disadvantages. Firstly, I stayed when the temperature was 35 for three days in a row and the AC didn't work. I asked, but they said it's more like a fan in Austria. Secondly, apart from breakfast, there's no food available. This is tricky because you have to make other arrangements. Thirdly, there's... We moved to this hotel after AC broke for the entire prior hotel. The AC sort of worked the first night but would only cool the room to 76. It was very weak. It broke the second night and would only blow cold air. They only had one other room free but the AC blew hot air in that room... More

The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast was good. The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of the town, but the tram line is just a short walk away, so we could easily reach whatever destination we wanted to see. The hotel restaurant did not offer any meal outside the breakfast. But they recommended a very good place... More

Air conditioning ineffective. Granted, this was an unseasonably hot day, when the temp approached 95 degrees. The AC could not cope, though management said there were no problems with it. This was a group tour, and some reported great rooms, though many others had temp problems. Thus there is uneven quality room to room. Our room was about 85 degrees... More

Spent a week in this hotel while on a business trip with some free time: quite area: good public transport; excellent breakfast: room was up to standard: staff very friendly: recommend: some good restaurants and pubs within walking distance; try the Beaver Brewing co pub and restaurant within 10 min walk for a good American experience in Vienna

Stayed for 4 days visiting family. Location; not City centre but not far from tram or Ubahn stops a few minutes away. Trams & Ubahn are outstanding in Vienna. Not surrounded by bars or Cafes but some within walking distance but location is end of road so quiet but not in bar/cafe area specifically. Room; good size with king bed,... More

I stayed here on a weekend trip to re-discover Vienna, which I've visited on a few other occasions. The service and the breakfast at this hotel are very good, but the hotel itself is rather grim with décor redolent of halfway houses or Soviet ear brutalism. It was kept impeccably clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast, as others... More

Strudlhof Hotel is a very good solution for a weekend or more in Vienna. A Hotel without cheap impressions, but professionalism is what you will get. Clean rooms every day, rich breakfast, likable lobby. Not exactly at the city center but close to it, stands in a very quite place, the most quiet I have ever stayed on my travels.... More

The hotel is good and modern. The wifi is good, works in the room and is free. The rooms are great, the only thing that was strange to me was that the toilet room is in a separated from the bath room. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. It's very close to a tram station, and about 15 minutes... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
