Effiient check in with helpful and friendly staff. Room had tea/coffee making facilities, safe and fridge with drinks (payable). Breakfast had plenty of choice: hot, cold, pastries, juices etc. It is about a 10 minute walk to the local train station to get the train direct to Palais Schonbrunn which is worth a visit. 5 minute walk to a road with cafes, bars and supermarkets. However we could not work out the tram lines which are on the road with the cafes so we walked into the old town which is about 20 - 25 minute walk.
The hotel is located is a nice and quiet neighborhood, less than a 10 minutes taxi drive from the central bus station. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly. Furniture is a bit old though, but well maintained. I would stay there again.
Charming hotel within walking distance to the xmas markets. The staff and cleanliness were a high standard. The only thing which was an issue was the heat in the hotel was very warm in that we needed to sleep with the window open (it was December). Great little rooftop area, breakfast was good, everyone spoke excellent English. The Greek restaurant (Rembetiko) around the corner is highly recommended for both take out and dine in!
Had a lovely stay! The hotel is in a very good location, with trams very close to many of the main attractions and stations! I stayed in a single room, it was spacious, clean, comfortable and warm! Also very quiet (6th floor). I really liked the breakfast! Not millions of options but for me it was perfect. Very good bread and sausages. The staff was nice and helpful. There’s a place to store the bags once you check out if you still have some time left in the city. Tip- If you’re coming for the Christmas market there’s a small lovely one at Liechtenstein Palace, just outside the hotel!
We arrived hours early and our room had not been cleaned but the staff kept our luggage in a secure place and said the room would be ready well before the usual check-in time. Our room was large with a view over Pasteurgasse, very comfortable and with the toilet separate from the shower/bath - a great idea. The hotel is in a great location - the front entrance leads down to tram D (for Ringstrasse and Schottentor) about a 5 minute walk, whilst a similar distance from the back entrance is Waehringer Strasse with a tram roughly every 2 minutes to the Schottentor transport hub which is about 3 minutes away by tram. We chose not to have breakfast but there is a good selection of cafes and bakeries a 5 minute walk away near the tram stops on Waehringer Strasse. The area is very comfortable, pleasant and safe, and houses a couple of embassies as well as university departments. There is access to the roof terrace for beautiful views across Vienna. This was a very pleasant stay and, as ever, it is the staff who make the establishment a success - Vielen Dank.…
When I review a hotel I do so based on what i am looking for on the trip, on this trip I was looking for a nice hotel near to Vienna city centre with breakfast. Hotel & Palais Strudlhof ticked all the boxes. A 15 minute walk into the centre of Vienna with a tram line stop around 100 metres away. The rooms were fairly large and had all the amenities that you would expect, breakfast was varied with both hot and cold food. The area was pleasant and safe and had several bars and restaurants nearby. Overall if you don't want to pay the high prices in the centre then this is ideal. I would stay here again and also recommend the 1090 bar nearby in Bauernfeldplatz and the Rembetiko greek restaurant a 5 minute walk away
A comfortable and clean Hotel located in the quiet area of the 10th district of Vienna. It is within easy walking distance of the good transport links that run to to the city centre. It has a roof terrace with views over rooftops of Vienna and there is an excellent breakfast with English and continental choices. The rooms have AC, although ours seemed to be putting out warm air, and has quite thin walls.
Just back from 3 nights here. Very friendly staff and a good location in a quiet cul-de-sac by the Strudlhof Steps but a road away from the main street into Vienna. Also just over 5 mins walk to the U4 underground station. Our room was great - large and with a big shower bath and separate toilet. The toiletries provided are shower gel and soap dispensers on the wall so no shampoo or conditioner etc. Breakfast was excellent with a huge selection to choose from. Would recommend staying here.
Good nice hotel. Very friendly and polite staff. Good quality breakfast. Location is just great! Rather strange hours of check in and check out - 3 pm check in, 11am check out. We came earlier, at 12. And we were said that our room was not ready. It was ok, but, after us people came and just got their room right away. That was pretty strange 😅 but probably another type of room. Little disappointing was also shampoo. On the dispenser and no conditioner. Also our room was the last at the hall (415). Probably there wasso technical little room near or outer air conditioner, so it was rather annoying noise all the time and during all night. No extra pillow for person, and pillow are so thin, so even you fold it - doesn’t help. Blankets are probably old: partly fluffy, partly just nothing...…
Me and mum stayed here for 2 nights, to see Vienna and Christmas markets. We booked through British airways as a flight and hotel package. Generous size room with a big bathroom. Room has everything you need. Only thing I would say is the room was too warm and you couldn’t control it, only to make it warmer with the radiator. Apart from that it was lovely! Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Very easy to get to the hotel from the airport. CAT from Vienna airport to Wien 16 minutes and the change for the subway a few stops and 11 min walk from the subway. Tram stop about 3-4 min walk from hotel. Shops and restaurants nearby. Great location - would recommend!
