this is a nice hotel convenient for town, may be a 20 min walk, but good tram links outside. Rooms are nice, comfy and clean, service is good, nice breakfast buffet, but they are closing the house bar very early now which is disappointing
What can I say, just returned from a fabulous Three night stay at this wonderful hotel and genuinely sad to leave. I booked an executive room and on check-in was advised that this enabled us to have free soft drinks, coffee/tea in the bar area which was excellent. Also the executive rooms were on the top floor and we had a terrace with a view of Belvedere (I’ve uploaded photos). The executive room was very large with a sofa area, large bath and separate shower. The Terrace was definitely a highlight and I can imagine spending summer evenings having a drink on the terrace. Nespresso machine in the room ( no English breakfast teabags but I’m sure they would have them at breakfast). The staff were so friendly and helpful from beginning to end. I paid for breakfast which I would describe as quite a standard European breakfast. There was a good selection of cheese and cold meats.. There was also a chef preparing fried eggs or omelettes. The only constructive criticism I would give was that the pastries were quite dry and also that they were the same every day. A bit of variety would have been nice and also some hotels I stayed in have pancakes which would have been excellent. There was a coffee machine but staff also came and took coffee order so you could order whatever coffee you liked. One of the staff even remembered our order from the day before which I was really impressed with and an example of the excellent service. The hotel is huge with a spacious and comfortable lobby and bar which was pretty quiet most nights. This would be a great business hotel as well. The hotel gave us free early check in and late check out and went above and beyond. Location is great, easy to get to from the airport on the trains as located right next to Rennweg station (less trains on a weekend generally so check the timetable). Walk into centre takes about 15 mins or jump on the 71 tram which comes very frequently. I would highly recommend Salm Brau restaurant five min walk from hotel, best restaurant we went to! Be warned, some restaurants are cash only in Vienna. I would highly recommend this hotel for value for money and would definitely go for excellent room. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so fantastic.…
Very nice hotel. They upgraded our room and they gave us large 45m2 room with a huge bathroom and with a balcony with a view to the Belvedere gardens. Hotel has good location, just next to Belvedere and short walk distance to centre. Hotel was clean, staff was nice and good breakfast.
I can rate 4 ☆ only because of the unavailability of the gym and spa service It is allowed to be mask free (green pass obviously required) but not to get the service for which you pay the hotel rate Hotel is clean, maybe old style coloured, but comfortable Staff always kind and available Rooms wide and well equipped
The hotel is spacious from the lobby all the way to and including the room. Very modern and comfortable. Very few guests so Covid19 was not a concern. 15 minutes walk from the city centre and 5 minutes to the subway. Great stay! Adjacent to the Belvedere property.
This is very good hotel in Vienna. Spacious rooms, well equipped. Very calm background, good parking spot. Very big conference area. I like dining in this hotel because it is very good organised. I recommend it for a business trip.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and once again it didn’t disappoint. Friendly and helpful staff at reception, spacious and clean room and great bathroom. Very close to central Vienna and on a good tram route. Look forward to staying again!
We had a wonderful stay here. All the staff from the moment you arrive are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and modern with large bathrooms and comfy beds. Breakfast has a lovely selection and a delicious omelette station. Hotel is located 2minutes from a train station which has a direct train to the airport in 20mins. 10 minutes walk from the centre and close to Belevedere Palace. Would highly recommend the hotel. It was my husbands birthday during our stay and we got a lovely surprise in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Quite well placed for those interested in being relatively close to the city center ( 25 min walk to Schwedenplatz, 4 tram stations to Karlsplatz, direct link to airport via S7 which is 2 min away). Excellent service from the front desk. I would have liked to recommend one of them but that would not be fair given that all of them were kind and helpful. Excellent idea to offer free of charge, on top of the free Wi-Fi inside the hotel, a Wi-Fi portable hotspot. It was a life saver when my phone decided to go on a rampage and refuse to work in roaming and I had some important work-related actions to perform over Internet. The "Hugo" beverage served at the bar was highly appreciated by my gf. The hotel offers more or less the usual amenities found in 4* European hotels, among which bathrobes, towels ( replaced daily despite us not asking for this ), shower cap, sewing kit, shoe shine and even hair conditioner. The TV has access to 150+ tv channels (Austrian, German, several Arabic channels, Russian, Italian, Spanish, French) including Bloomberg, CNN, Al Jazeera ( and even one Japanese channel ) plus dozens of radio stations. However there is no CI card so do not rely on watching content that is usually scrambled, like the movies on RAI 2. There are however a few points which were not OK. First of all, the convector/central heating system did not seem to really be influenced by the digital controls placed in the room. For medical reasons we needed a temperature of at least 25 °C but no matter what settings we used, the temperature in the room did not change. We were saved by the fact that the bathroom was equipped with a radiator which got really hot once we turn it on, so we just left the bathroom door open. Second and more important, the service from the cleaning personnel was quite poor: - the dust on the TV table was not touched during the 10 days we stayed there - linen was replaced only once - all glasses and forks that we borrowed from the bar were taken away each day (frankly I contemplated the idea of locking them in the safe when we left the room !) - the docking station used to recharge the portable hotspot was taken away from us one day too early - the soap dispenser from the shower was not refilled until we specifically asked for it, despite the fact that it was obvious it was empty; - one day we decided to spend the morning in the room so we kept the "DND" sign on the door until 3:30 PM when we left and replaced it with the "please clean the room"; instead of having the room cleaned, we found a note telling us that the room was not cleaned due to the DND sign that was there prior to 3:30 PM ( and I repeat, when we left the note was not there, it was hung on the door knob AFTER we placed the "please clean the room sign" on the knob) - on several occasions we found insects crawling on the bathroom floor. And last , the gentleman refilling the minibar ignored the "Do not disturb" sign on the door in each of the first 3 days of our staying. I guess he finally understood that we were not going to use the content from the minibar and stopped doing that in day #4 All in all, the hotel is very nice and I am sure all issues can be solved with the help of the reception desk. In our case, we decided to not make a fuss and except for the insects and missing soap we just coped with the situation. And, well, when the Wi-Fi did not work in our room (during the first 2 days) we also asked for help. As a result a technician finally solved the issue and meanwhile we could rely on the portable WiFi hotspot as well.…
Beautiful chic and luxury hotel. Stayed for only one night while is was on business trip but I love it. Rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. Amazing restaurant and bar. Perfectly kind staff at reception. Will be back for sure!!!
