We stayed three nights at this hotel as part of a group. The location was not suitable for our needs which was primarily sightseeing in the city. There is a small park area and lake which was pleasant. But the other side of the road is a concrete jungle. There are few facilities in the immediate area. There is a metro stop but during our stay it was not fully functional. The building is modern but someone has decided to fill the interior with cheap red vinyl 1960’s furniture. At times we thought we were staying in the red light district! If you like red this is the place for you. The lobby, the bar, the restaurant, the corridors, the rooms endless red plastic. The hotel manager was a clone Basil Fawlty seeming to do everything from delivering luggage to waiting tables morning, noon and night. The room was of a good size but again overwhelming red plastic. The TV had a few English channels but none worked. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant is buffet only and the offerings less than appealing. On one evening all I managed was a bowl of soup and a scoop of ice cream. Finding a pat of butter was akin to winning the lottery….. Beverages were from a machine and this proved difficult when the restaurant was busy. This hotel is probably ok for those staying a night for business purposes at the UNO next door but unsuitable for tourism.

I totally agree with others on here, the hotel is dated, the food warm and boring. No cold lunch menu, rude nasty waitors. This hotel was a substitute as our original hotel closed for refurbishment and staying in Vienna for 3 days was part of the holiday package, even our reps said how bad it was. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

If you’re staying in Vienna find somewhere else to stay! The hotel is not well located for the city It feels like it caters more for business meetings and seminars The rooms are not great, tired and uncomfortable. The restaurant is terrible (more about that further down). Customer service is awful too. The guy behind the bar is the only one who offers a smile and great service. The restaurant serves terrible food, slowly and without a modicum of a pleasantries. We sent one meal back and another salad had lots of rotten lettuce in it. The kitchen closes at 10pm, we sat down to eat at 8:30 and by the time we had given up on our main courses (being awful) we were hungry in a location with no other alternatives, so we asked for the desert menu at 9:35, the waiter looked at his watch, gave a big sigh and said “no, the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes” then he walked away, got near the kitchen door, turned around and changed his mind. Too late, we said “forget it” Shortly after, I went to reception and asked for a kettle and teabags, the receptionist gave a big sigh, looked at her watch and said “No it’s too late, I can see if we can get you something in the morning…” This was at 10pm I said “forget it, this is a terrible hotel, with a terrible restaurant and a terrible attitude to customer service” She said “I’ll call housekeeping, they may still be around” Too late, the huffing and puffing and looking at watches was too much to bear. The guy behind the bar was happy to make tea and coffee at 10pm, no problem, no drama, no watch looking, just a pleasant experience. So many hotels in Vienna, you don’t need to put yourself through the experience of this one.

This hotel wasn’t a 4*. Dated rooms, had to request tea and coffee facilities in my room, safe didn’t work. The mug I was provided to go with the tea/coffee was never replaced the whole time I was there (5 nights). Breakfast was confusing - sometimes you were asked your room number, sometimes there was no one around. The food was ok, but a lot of things empty and not replaced - eggs, coffee etc. I had dinner there one night but the meal of just sausage and chips took > 45 mins to arrive and again hardly any staff around. Fitness suite closed and no real explanation why. This hotel was average at best.

Don't stay here if you want any service. The rooms are ok but the restaurant is terrible. We tried several nights during our stay to get service and were unsuccessful. There is also nothing decent within walking distance. So you are stuck eating before you get back to the hotel. Really disappointing.

The hotel was 4 star - but felt like a 2-3 star - very basic and uncomfortable bed and room. The double bed only had a single duvet. The double bed only had one pillow (poor quality). The furniture on the room is basic and uncomfortable - a nice chair to relax in would be great. And there is no light in the shower cubicle so you have to shower in the dark. The corridors are poorly lit =, smelly and depressing. I slept very badly because of only having a single duvet.

Had to stay here to attend meetings. The gym was closed and had been for a while - why? Room OK but wouldnt stay by choice-overlooked a main road. I tried to change room on arrival was told it was not possible. My colleague stayed at the nearby NH hotel where all facilities including the gym were open

Positives: Clean, modern, walking distance to the conference centre Negatives: No way to find food outside the "meals times". Empty fridge in room. Vending machine is a rip-off. Took ¢5 and dispensed ¢2 item (no credit kept or returned), then charged my debit card ¢10 for ¢2.5 item. Day-time rip off. Complaint to staff at reception, they shrugged their shoulders and started to talk between themselves in German. Promised me to call the "engineer" next day. Nothing happened. The following day the room wasn't serviced. A guy turned up at 6pm, for "housekeeping"!! Written all the above on the feedback they requested. They didn't even acknowledged it. Very unprofessional.

Excellent value at the time of our booking! Convenient location to go downtown and explore nearby, as it’s near a subway station, quality breakfast with variety, friendly stuff. Will definitely choose again when we revisit ;)
