We just been to 4 star hotel and spa and yes it was double the price but it had numerous facilities and things included in the price. This place is clatered, worn and very dated. The photo of the hotel isn't of the hotel but...More
The hotel is 5 mins walk from district 1 where most things can be found. The hotel was very basic, but it was clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms look new and modern, but rest of the hotel was very old. It was...More
If you are looking for a cheap hotel, consider this one. The rooms are very small. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and I generally sleep well. The bathroom is clean enough. I did not choose to have breakfast in the hotel, because there are...More
We stayed here for 3 nights mid Dec 16 mainly to be close to the city centre and Xmas markets. The reception is situated on the 2nd floor in an old building consisting of apartments and businesses. The room was very small, dark and basic...More
Average hotel and no way a 4 star. Very basic and in need of a spruce. Room was ok but mouldy fridge, shower tiles some mould. Breakfast very poor. Very noisy at night due to heavy traffic and trams. Good location however and comfy bed.

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of
overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
