This place was easy to get to right off the U-bahn, easy to get around from (fun spots are a plenty within walking distance), and nice and clean with a good breakfast. I had a singly room which was VERY tiny, (think 75% of a normal 2-person dorm in college) but overall it was fine. I would have liked to...

Very easy to find, the Pension is right as you exit the U-Bahn. The lift was a welcome sight as we had three suitcases to carry. A Merkur is located directly across the shopping promenade. It is where you can get picnic ingredients, cooked meals and other fresh groceries, wine etc,.. . and where our included breakfast was served in...

We were pleased to find it very clean, conveniently located, efficient and quick reception. The exit to the Kirchenstrasse road of Nubaugasse U3 station opens up right at the steps of the Pension entrance. Pension is on first floor and it has lift. The area is full of shops and it is a shoppers' paradise. Our room was No. 110...

This pension is a good value and located in a great location on one of the main shopping streets in Vienna. It's near the U-Bahn or just a 10-15 minute walk into the old town area. The staff here was kind and helpful, and the hotel provided a tasty breakfast across the street at a nice little restaurant inside the...

This is a really charming place! Very orderly, very clean and neat, and super convenient to the Ringstrasse and the inner city. There is a metro stop directly in front of the pension, which is located on Mariahilferstrasse, a big street which has lots of shops and cafes, and is closed to vehicle traffic. There is a lift to the...

We are family of 5, 3 young children. The apartment has three twin beds and a queen size bed. Two bed rooms, kitchen, living room with dinning table for 4, bathroom is small. The apartment size is comparable to a standard 2 bedroom apartment in America and we were very comfortable. The apartment is very quiet at night because it...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
