Absolutely astonishing property, with excellent and very friendly staff. High security throughout the hotel. Minibar is included into the price, a very nice touch. Wifi is very fast. Breakfasts are delicious. Restaurant is high-class. Centrally situated near all the major attractions.

We knew as soon as we drove up to the hotel, with an efficient, friendly greeting from the doorman and reception staff, that Palais Coburg was going to be an experience we would never forget. First-rate service all the way is the only way to describe this hotel and its staff. You know you're in a fabulous hotel when the... More

We spent too short a time at this wonderful hotel for our 50th wedding anniversary. Everything about it was perfect- from our huge suite to the service and people to the welcoming champagne and fruit. And the location, once we got a handle on the layout of the city, was also very convenient. We chose this hotel because of the... More

This hotel provided a perfect experience. It has a great history, excellent service, good restaurants, and nice privacy - inside the circle but in a more quiet location. Be sure to visit the wine collection - which has been rated the best in the world.

The Palais Coburg is a fine hotel! My brother in law was married here and it was a fabulous experience. The staff were great and catered for every whim. The food was delicious and surroundings beautiful. You'd be hard push to find a nicer hotel than this one.

We were in Vienna for a family wedding and had the privilege of having the entire property to ourselves. It felt just like home. The breakfast is phenomenal. Be sure to try the Joseph bread with cream cheese! Yummy. Nice big comfortable rooms.

great atmosphere but apart from that the diner I had there (3-course) was unremarkable. I was there on a Thursday evening and there were (only) 3 tables occupied. The food was middle of the road and it certainly did not surprise me nor was it a festival of taste. The wine list is exhaustive but prohibitively expensive. Service is excellent,... More

Vienna is one of my favourite world destinations. Whilst there, my partner, our daughter and I stayed at The Palais Coburg Hotel. It really offers an all around outstanding and palatial hospitality experience. The room was gorgeous and the beds very comfortable. The staff classy, polyglot and friendly. We'll be going back.

I will start by saying that if there is a good Relais and Chateau hotel in the location that I want to stay I will almost always choose it because in general they are known for providing excellent service in beautiful accommodations. The Palais Coburg is no doubt absolutely beautiful, especially at Christmastime. The lobby and exterior of the hotel... More

We were not residents but had the 9 course dinner with 9 wines. The tour of the incredible wine cellar set the mood for a memorable evening and the food and wine exceeded expectations in both quantity and quality. The expertise of the Somellier and the service of the staff were top drawer and each wine complimented the food perfectly.... More

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

The Bastion Foyer in the entrance area exhibits a distinctive combination of modern architecture with historic architectural substance. Above the city mural, one gains entry to the mundane Coburg vaults in the first cellar storey. The red brick walls of the underground casemates take one back to the Renaissance era and immerse the guest in the history of the Palais and the Bastion of Vienna. In the second story, the Beletage, one finds the Johann Strauss Concert Hall and the Ceremonial Rooms which have been restored to their original splendor from the 19th century. Two outdoor staircases lead from the Ceremonial Rooms to the Bastion Garden. The office rooms of the Beletage offer modernly equipped offices in rooms with elegant and historic atmospheres.
