Simm’s Hotel Vienna is a modern, centrally-located budget hotel in the heart of Simmering. Simm’s Hotel in Vienna is the perfect starting point for all appointments and meetings in the area. From there, all the main sights and shopping streets are just a short walk away.

    4 day city break
The simm hotel is in a good location right next to a train station and the 71 tram stops almost outside the hotel. You can buy a day ticket for€8 just inside the station which covers you for trains and trams for 24 Hours you can buy tickets to cover you for longer the ticket machines are easy to use. There are plenty of shops close by including Lidl which is opposite the hotel. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable there was a bath which was a good size as well There was a kettle and cups but to be honest if you want tea or coffee bring your own there is 1 fruit tea and 1 earl grey and 1 sachet of 3 in one coffee. There's also a mini fridge. The breakfast buffet was good but it does get busy so you may have to wait for a seat. The people in reception are polite and helpful. There are 8 Christmas markets to visit which are lovely but they all sell similar things.

    Christmas market trip
Not motorcycle touring this trip, city short break. Excellent hotel near the centre of Vienna, just a short tram ride, stop right outside the hotel on the opposite side of the road, number 71. Arrived early, unfortunately the room was not quite ready, just a short wait. I think the young man who was signing us in was training, and needed a little help from his colleagues, but we all have to learn. Overall clean room and everything that you require included a bath which is always an added bonus as far as I am concerned. Our deal included breakfast which is a buffet style, plenty of choice with attentive staff who made sure that everything was plentiful. Advantage of late check out by 12.00 ,and luggage storage if you have a later departure. Small bar and coffee in the lobby with some seating which is useful if you are waiting for your transfer to the airport. All in all I would use this hotel again.

    Good value City Break
We stayed at the Simms Hotel as part of a Newmarket Holiday Short Break to Vienna which included a trip to see Andre Rieu. The hotel is next to the underground eight stops from the centre of the old town (15 minutes by taxi which costs 15-18 euros each way). The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are well appointed, our room had an excellent walk in shower, breakfast is good and the bar, which is in the in the foyer stays open late. We found the hotel staff pleasant and helpful. We ate in a pub across the road which had good local food that was excellent value. There are shops close by including an excellent bakery and Lidl.

Trip Advisor Simms hotel feedback My wife and I have just returned from a three day break with Newmarket travel, sold as a ‘Vienna Christmas Markets’ package. Our hotel was the Hotel Simms, positioned in district 11 (Vienna has 23 municipal districts, the centre being district 1), the hotel was fantastic and worthy of its four star rating. The rooms were warm, clean and quiet, the breakfasts provided for every taste, a combination of hot food and continental breakfasts. My only criticism of the hotel itself would be the TV channels! Out of around 50 channels I could only find one English speaking news channel provided by a French TV service! Like most people I don’t go on holiday to watch TV but there are times in the room when you do want to watch some TV and although a lot of the TV content was in English there were no subtitles! Why can’t the hotel look into providing more channels in English? However, my biggest problem with the hotel was its location and distance from the centre of Vienna! The area was described as a student area and although I don’t know what this means exactly I did see a couple a street beggars nearby the hotel and also in constant view was a massive building with a bright red sign saying ‘Sex Shop’; the surrounding area looked very run-down and depressing. I know there is an underground nearby and a frequent tram service available but personally I don’t want to be using public transport at night to get around. Also a lot of the trams I saw were crammed with people and mask wearing was compulsory. In terms of eating out nearby the hotel and finding nice restaurants, forget it, we counted about six kebab shops, three pizza takeaways and one pub. On our first night we went to this pub (over the road from the hotel) and the food and service was very good. However, on the next two evenings it was closed, including the Saturday night! If you are thinking of choosing this hotel and want to be close to the real Vienna I would strongly advise looking elsewhere, unless of course you are a student! Stephen Ward

Arrived in April for an extended project in Simmering during the pandemic situation, welcomed by cold, snow/rain, most the hotels and all the gastronomy closed. After a search for a different accommodation we found this place to stay. It appeared to be like an oasis in this depressing period of the year. Friendly personnel, rooms with great view, parking garage, tasty breakfast with plenty of choice and bar open with smiling crew! Our variating international crew of around 6 has spent weeks from April until June, at Simm's hotel, enjoying it every day. Thanks for taking care of us! Team Sulzer

The hotel is in a reasonable distance from the city center. U bahn (subway) stop is a few steps from the entrance. Room (618) quite small, but the bathroom is OK. The staff was friendly and nice. On the other hand a minibar in the room is EMPTY. Generally I would expect more from 4stars hotel.

This 'modern style' hotel is a very comfortable place to stay. The quality of design, the spacious rooms, the tasteful decoration, the high level of cleanliness, all combine to provide an excellent setting. The lift has a unique feature, to ensure non residents do not access the upper floors, through use of the room card, before the lift will operate. Our room was all we could wish for, the size, the storage, the bed, the decor, the furniture all were ideal. The bar area is pleasant. The breakfast area is also very good, offering room enough for everyone to easily mingle and a fine wide choice of food and drink to suit all tastes. The one minus is that evening meals are not provided. The location is also of note.We used the subway, which is almost next door, to travel to the centre of Vienna. Excellent mode of travel. The tram system is also adjacent. .We hope to visit Vienna again, and we will undoubtedly make this hotel our first choice to stay. Well pleased

Stayed in this hotel recently, room are good sized and comfortable clean and neatly maintained with all the modern amenities. The hotel has a bar which serves till late in the night. Good air conditioning in the room and WiFi reception. The best thing is the hotel is next door to the subway station and the tram stops right in front across the road. 10 to 15 minutes is all it takes to get to the city centre or most sight seeing places in Vienna. You can purchase the tickets from the hotel receptionist and don’t forget to validate them in the cute looking red boxes placed before you enter the railway station or inside the trams. Tickets for subway can also be used on trams and buses and they are reasonable priced. Breakfast is good with all the usual stuff. Enjoyed my stay in this hotel took full use of the tram and subway system to visit places which saved me plenty of time. would definitely stay there again if I had a chance to visit Vienna again. Hopefully I do. Only thing is that they do not have ironing facilities that was a little disappointing as I just don’t like the fold lines on my shirt when I wear, but who cares, I was on a holiday.

We were booked in to this nice clean modern hotel by our tour operator. It is situated a few Kilometres from the centre of Vienna. However, the U - Bahn is virtually next door and it took approximately 9 minutes to go to Stephensplatz. The service is very regular - every 3/4 minutes and cost me 2.40 euros for a single journey. We stayed in a room on the 7th floor and it was extremely quiet, airy and clean. The bed was most comfy although I would have preferred a second pillow. I think you can get extras from reception. The ceiling is made of concrete but you do get a card explaining the reason for that. The bathroom was sufficiently big with a wet room and the only bin. There was complimentary coffee/tea facilities and you could go to reception and get fresh milk, There is a large safe - big enough for i - pads to be left in. For security you do have to put your room card in the lift to make it go up - we never really came to grips with this! There is plenty of variety on the breakfast buffet - ranging from English Breakfast to Continental Breakfast. I finally got my first croissants on this trip! Coffee is already on the tables when you arrive. The only disappointing element is that you cannot get an evening meal at the hotel and few places appeared to be open on a Sunday evening. However, if you want takeaway - the world is your oyster! Checking out was easy. Overall a good stay.
