Arrived in April for an extended project in Simmering during the pandemic situation, welcomed by cold, snow/rain, most the hotels and all the gastronomy closed. After a search for a different accommodation we found this place to stay. It appeared to be like an oasis in this depressing period of the year. Friendly personnel, rooms with great view, parking garage, tasty breakfast with plenty of choice and bar open with smiling crew! Our variating international crew of around 6 has spent weeks from April until June, at Simm's hotel, enjoying it every day. Thanks for taking care of us! Team Sulzer
Great boutique hotel, extremely convenient for the tube to the city centre. Great location. Breakfast and rooms very good. Excellent. Staff very nice.Ideal for the city. Places to eat close by and really good supermarket Bills close by. Turkish district with takeaway opposite very handy. Would go back.
The hotel is in a reasonable distance from the city center. U bahn (subway) stop is a few steps from the entrance. Room (618) quite small, but the bathroom is OK. The staff was friendly and nice. On the other hand a minibar in the room is EMPTY. Generally I would expect more from 4stars hotel.
This 'modern style' hotel is a very comfortable place to stay. The quality of design, the spacious rooms, the tasteful decoration, the high level of cleanliness, all combine to provide an excellent setting. The lift has a unique feature, to ensure non residents do not access the upper floors, through use of the room card, before the lift will operate. Our room was all we could wish for, the size, the storage, the bed, the decor, the furniture all were ideal. The bar area is pleasant. The breakfast area is also very good, offering room enough for everyone to easily mingle and a fine wide choice of food and drink to suit all tastes. The one minus is that evening meals are not provided. The location is also of note.We used the subway, which is almost next door, to travel to the centre of Vienna. Excellent mode of travel. The tram system is also adjacent. .We hope to visit Vienna again, and we will undoubtedly make this hotel our first choice to stay. Well pleased…
Stayed in this hotel recently, room are good sized and comfortable clean and neatly maintained with all the modern amenities. The hotel has a bar which serves till late in the night. Good air conditioning in the room and WiFi reception. The best thing is the hotel is next door to the subway station and the tram stops right in front across the road. 10 to 15 minutes is all it takes to get to the city centre or most sight seeing places in Vienna. You can purchase the tickets from the hotel receptionist and don’t forget to validate them in the cute looking red boxes placed before you enter the railway station or inside the trams. Tickets for subway can also be used on trams and buses and they are reasonable priced. Breakfast is good with all the usual stuff. Enjoyed my stay in this hotel took full use of the tram and subway system to visit places which saved me plenty of time. would definitely stay there again if I had a chance to visit Vienna again. Hopefully I do. Only thing is that they do not have ironing facilities that was a little disappointing as I just don’t like the fold lines on my shirt when I wear, but who cares, I was on a holiday.…
We were booked in to this nice clean modern hotel by our tour operator. It is situated a few Kilometres from the centre of Vienna. However, the U - Bahn is virtually next door and it took approximately 9 minutes to go to Stephensplatz. The service is very regular - every 3/4 minutes and cost me 2.40 euros for a single journey. We stayed in a room on the 7th floor and it was extremely quiet, airy and clean. The bed was most comfy although I would have preferred a second pillow. I think you can get extras from reception. The ceiling is made of concrete but you do get a card explaining the reason for that. The bathroom was sufficiently big with a wet room and the only bin. There was complimentary coffee/tea facilities and you could go to reception and get fresh milk, There is a large safe - big enough for i - pads to be left in. For security you do have to put your room card in the lift to make it go up - we never really came to grips with this! There is plenty of variety on the breakfast buffet - ranging from English Breakfast to Continental Breakfast. I finally got my first croissants on this trip! Coffee is already on the tables when you arrive. The only disappointing element is that you cannot get an evening meal at the hotel and few places appeared to be open on a Sunday evening. However, if you want takeaway - the world is your oyster! Checking out was easy. Overall a good stay.…
Had a fab 3 night break here. Hotel well situated right by underground, and great bar opposite. Lovely bedroom with large en suite all very clean and fresh linen. Breakfast had masses to offer and bar useful for a nightcap!
A very modern hotel, extremely clean, spacious rooms, very close to the metro station and breakfast was very good (fresh fruits and veggies, coffee, tea, juice, musli, eggs, diffrent types of cheese and delicious pastries)
This hotel is situation right next door to a metro station making it easy to get in and out of the centre of town and all the main highlights with no real difficulty. Whilst not being in the most salubrious part of Vienna this is a convenient base without being right in the centre of town. Also across the road is a more than adequate eating house/pub. Well there are two but one has a wider menu. The hotel has all the amenities that could be required, a more than adequate breakfast and we found the front of house staff to be extremely helpful, and although we seemed to have many requests, each one was responded to quickly and efficiently. They were also accommodating when we asked for a longer check out due to an evening flight.
We have just come back from 4 days at the Simms. It is a modern hotel in a shopping area, but sound proofing is amazingly good. It is next door to the underground trains, a supermarket and a nice bakers! It is across the road from the tram stops and an excellent pub. The hotel is clean and comfy, the staff are helpful and spoke very good English, as I am ashamed to say my Austrian is non existent. The breakfast is excellent, so much choice, and we always found somewhere to sit even though it is very busy. We had bought a Vienna travel/ amenities ticket so going in and out if the city, and out to the palaces was very easy. If you are very brave you could wing it, we never had our tickets checked, or even saw any staff around..
