I stupidly booked this hostel without reading any reviews but I wish I had. I have never stayed in a grimier place in all my life. There are just 2 toilets and 3 showers for about 40 people. It may say 12 bed dorm but all the dorms are actually one big room. If you are unlucky enough to be... More

This hostel was in a perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere. Unfortunately, the hostel itself wasn't our favorite. It was clean, had lockers, and wasn't too crowded which was nice. In our 8 person dorm the most people we ever had was 6 (including the two of us). Unfortunately, this hostel doesn't have a common room or spot... More

Really terrible hostel, reception is in one building and the rooms are across the street, the reception closes at different times of the day and locks their doors, you have to put your own linen on the bed, all the guests have to sit on the ground in the hallway to use the wifi, shittest hostel I've ever been in,... The only thing going for this place is the location. Near major tourist sites, subway and Lidl supermarket right beside it. Staff not friendly at all. Kitchen was awful, just a microwave, kettle and fridge. Bathroom also in kitchen. Entire layout is a bit of a mess. We were in four bed dorm. Very stuffy, could do with a fan/ac.... More

Seven Hostel, also known as Labyrinth Hostel is filthy - grimy floors, etc. The only pleasant thing about it is the lady who runs it - she's quite helpful when she's not struggling to serve guests as well as look after her darling baby. The hostel is spread out in several apartments in the area and if you're looking for... More

I stayed at Seven Hostel, part of the labyrinth hostels. It was an awful experience. I typically can handle a little grime because "hey, I'm saving money." No, this place is god awful. Filthy. The showers have never been cleaned. The whole place smells terrible. The 4 bed dorm I was in was hardly big enough for 2 people let... More

When I arrived at reception I was sent a short walk to "Blue Corridor", an old bar or club they've converted into a hostel. My main problem was that the door to this club opened up to rows upon rows of bunk beds; they don't warn you that you'll be sleeping with around 40 other people. This led to significantly... More

I was very surprised to see so negative comments about this hostel. We were in the biggest room (blue corridor or something) and it was really nice. Everything was clean, enough bathrooms and toilets, bunk beds were comfortable, it has great location and is very cheap. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the kitchen was quite small... After we had seen all of bad coments we were expecting something worse, but it was really good. Best location, best beds, good privacy and everything was clean. I am not saying you can wait the best, but it is definitely not the worst.

I booked a private room here with my daughter. The check in lady is scruffy and disinterested. I had to pay 5 euros to hire a towel of which 4 euros should be returned to me at the end however she wasn't there in the office and wouldn't respond to the call button that connects to her phone so I... Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
