Vienna's one and only wine themed hotel is looking forward to hosting all wine lovers. All our 39 rooms are dedicated to Austrian premium winemakers and are featuring clear and state of the art design and function, enhanced with a lot of love for the details and some quirky things, too. Don't be surprised!!! You will find the wines of your partner vintner in your room and all the other wines from all the other winemakers in our wine lounge. We serve, of course, wine 24 hours a day. Our attic suite (80 sqm with private rooftop terrace) is dedicated to German vintners...! Why? Because weeeee loooove Riiiisling!!!

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.

The room was very spacious and clean. The mattress had good support but there was only one rather flat pillow and a small cushion per bed. The sheets were scratchy which may have been more of a problem for me since I have sensitive skin. No lotions which was surprising

We had a lovely, relaxing two-night stay in February. The staff are very friendly and made us very welcome right from the start. Christina and George in particular went out of their way to look after us. The room was lovely, very comfortable, and the hotel is an easy walk in

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel recently and unfortunately we were both underwhelmed with our stay. The street the hotel is on is lovely and quiet and in a great location for us with some lovely restaurants near by and near the Rathaus and Museumquarter. The hotel

Dear Caroline D, thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review about our hotel! We really appreciate your feedback and will do everything possible to solve the issues mentioned. Currently some of the rooms get renovations but it always takes time, the hairdrier we already changed and the plugs are renewed in most of the rooms. Thank you very much for this information! So we hope that you will visit us again and next time are fully satisfied with our services! Kind regards and all the best!

Overall, it's fine. The location is pretty good, near the Rathaus, on a quiet street, and close to transport stations. Staff are friendly and in the main, helpful. However, I don't think it's good value for money, nor do I think it's well-designed room wise etc. It struck me as

Dear guest, thank you very much for your visit and your review, although we do not really understand it. You liked the location and the staff apparantely but not the style of the rooms. Sorry about that but there are pictures of the rooms and the breakfast area on our website and some more booking platforms to show our guests what they book. The price is compare to other hotels around really good what a lot of guests appreciate. It is not cheap as this is not what we want to be, but we offer quality and space. We do apologize if you had any inconvenience and wish you all the best!

Pretty close. In fact, is in front of the Opera building, so you're actually in the city center

can you catch the (CAT) from the main overhead train station?
Dear guests (again?) :)! The CAT leaves from Wien Mitte only, please see also our detailed description on our website, there is, however a very efficient airport bus, leaving from Volkstheater station, our next bus / underground stopp! Have a safe trip, Conrad Schröpel Hotel Manager

how far is the hotel from the Wien Mitte?
Dear guests from the UK! Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding the "Wien Mitte Trainstation". Fromt the Volkstheater station it´s four stopps with the underground U3 (orange line) and takes about six minutes. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Cordially, Conrad Schröpel Hotel Manager
