The hotel is very clean, exactly as shown on photos. It is 8-10 minutes walk from the U-bahn, then 20 min ride to the center. So it is about 30 min commute. It is OK for many people, but if you need to take a mid-day break for any reason, it becomes problematic. We did not buy their breakfast, it... More

Nice hotel, friendly staff, big room (recently renovated), good breakfast, 700 m (10 min on foot) to the next Subway U4 Ober Sankt Veit. With the U4 (green) line you can get to the Schönnbrunn castle (4 stops), the Naschmarkt market and the city center (Karlsplatz station) in 15/20 Min. On weekends the subway runs during the night as well.... More

This hotel is situated quite a bit out of the city center, but that ensures that you get good value for money. The staff is friendly and the neighborhood nice and quiet. The hotel is located at a walking distance from the tube, allowing for easy access to the city center. Rooms were clean and furnished well. Warmly recommended if... More

We came for a week, through RCI exchange service. We are a couple over 70 years. There is an elevator to the 3rd floor and we had to climb one floor up. The appartment was nice and clean. One bedroom and one livingroom, a small kitchen with free WiFi and TV screen. The beds were very comfortable. There is no AC... More

Nice hotel, been there several times for business reasons. However, for the same price, I didn't get the same kind of room (half of the size the second time). Unfortunately, I've been there sometimes when the temperature was > 35°C, and there is no air conditioning, plus, the staff opened the window, to "bring air" but of course it made... More

The hotel is situated away from the city center but thanks to the close public transport : bus, tram, metro you can get there in a dozen minutes. Very close to one of the most important sights - Shoenbrunn. Cleanliness of rooms, friendly service, free Wi-Fi, tasty breakfasts and affordable price encourage return visits. I would recommend .

The hotel was nice and the rooms were adequate. Our room had a small refrigerator so we could store things to eat and drink. There is a few stores very close by for food shopping and a fee nice restaurants. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood but not very touristy. Getting around was a breeze with access to... The enviroment is ok. The shower cabin so small I couldt wash my hair comfortably. There's no air condition, so in summer the room unconfortably hot. The breakfast was enough, but expensive, nothing special. We miss some fruits.

It's very quiet but for a 4 star hotel not to have air conditioning it's outrageous. We had to stay with the windows open and all kinds of bugs got in because they had no nets at the windows. The mini bar was not working. Also the elevator made a big noise when is was running.

My 4 night stay at this hotel was seamless and a very pleasant experience. I was in a double room facing the street at the rear of the hotel. The room felt newly renovated and was very quiet. Staying in Hietzing

Neighborhood Profile
Hietzing
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighborhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
