Everything about this hotel was lovely, the room was very comfortable and I did enjoy my stay. Only complaints would be that my card key stopped working on the first evening, but the staff were very quick to fix this for me... also there is no toothpaste or hair conditioner available which is a little disappointing if, like me, you... The only thing I like about the hotel is the location and breakfast. Unfortunately, the TV in our room did not work, the bed was not comfortable, and the air conditioner stopped working in the middle night. We did not feel in a 4 star hotel at all.

The hotel is very well located and offers the possibility to discover Vienna on foot. Moreover, the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was huge, varied and good quality. We really appreciated the nice and helpful staff!

As usual with this chain, the rooms turn out a bit small, but they have all the amenities and free WiFi. Breakfast was sumptuous and the location is pretty good, the subway and the bus stop are just round the corner on the main road. There is a sauna and a steam-bath in the basement to unwind after a day... More

The room was clean and cozy and wi-fi connection was really good. The location is really good, it's a short walk to the museum quarter and Mariahilferstrasse for those interested in shopping. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, including Clemens Wratschko, which we particularly wanted to dine at as it was also visited and recommended by Anthony Bourdain... More

Stayed at this hotel 4 nights during the New Year Holiday. A genuine 4 stars hotel, everything worked , breakfast perfect, room very functional, staff very friendly and patient, making reservations or giving direction instructions as required. Good location for public transport, metro 500 meters, bus 200 meters, taking you or offering you connections for whole Vienna. Price /value rate... More

Comfortable, practical, attentive and helpful staff. Old building with a little careful maintenance. Spacious and clean apartments. Nice breakfast. Negative point localization. I recommend only , maybe, for business travelers

The biggest advantage od this hotel is location. 10 minutes from main pedestrian zone, "Mariahilfer" street. 10-15 minutes down Burgasse street to city centre. Check in is possible from 2:00PM. There are lot of good restaurants around the hotel, and marketa as well. Breakfast is great. Will probably stay here during my next visit to Vienna.

Falkensteiner Hotel am Schottenfeld was a very good hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small and the wardrobe too. The room was very clean. The hotel is located at 5 minutes walking form the U-Bahn station Burggasse. The breakfest was excellent. If you wanted you could even drink a glass of Prosecco. If... More

We have just returned from a 3 night break in Vienna - what a magnificent city! Architectural gems wherever you looked. The city is a delight - it is friendly and oozes class and style. The public transport system is an exemplar of how public transport schemes should operate, clean, punctual and regular. We took advantage of the Vienna Card... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
