Great little hotel, well located, with easy access to public transport. The owners are lovely people who make a point to come talk to their guests at breakfast and give them informations, tips on restaurants, etc. The free breakfast is fantastic!!! Lots of fresh fruit, fancy breads, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but they... More

We booked on Hotwire as the hotel had free breakfast and free wifi. The breakfast was not available to us. The wifi was terrible.the night receptionist didn't know how to put through a call to our room. Hotwire reimbursed us $50 Hotwire dollars which does not cover the 10 euro a head breakfast for 5 nights even with the hotel... More

Travelled to Vienna with my wife in September, 2015, for a holiday. Upon arriving at the hotel we both were a little apprehensive. The check in staff were very friendly and efficient, we were given Room 204. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable, everything worked fine and was reasonably quiet. The breakfast staff were very friendly and... More

We were positively surprised during our long-weekend stay. Rooms are clean and get done daily. The location in the heart of the 7th district is great with all public transport options within a couple minutes from the hotel. The staff was friendly and the friendly lady at the reception really took her time to explain how we can get around... More

We booked this hotel through a travel package, but based on the voucher I would say a good value for about 61 euros a night if I read that correctly. (without breakfast). It was half a block from bus line 48, 1.5 blocks to tram, and about 3.5 blocks to the metro stop Burghasse, which is mostly all we used.... More

Lovely family business hotel. We had two nice and clean rooms, for three and four, with AC. Owners/personel were very friendly and helpful. All were speaking english, some better than others. Breakfast was good and coffee/tea was served to table by the owners. Would say that as great service. Will be definetly one of our options on next visit to... More

The GPS had no trouble finding Halbgasse (literally half a lane) and the first pleasant surprise was plenty of available parking. The Hotel is in an office building with reception on the main floor and rooms 2-3 floors up the reliable, self operating lift. Not uncommon in Europe, but possibly odd for newcomers. The room was spacious with 2 large... More

Hotel with modest breakfast, boiled egg on request only. Parking @ hotel space cost you ?15/day, but Saturday 22h-Monday 9am is free at streets around the hotel. The reception won't tell you to earn extra ? from you. Swimming pool is available, but at the adjacent building and not comfortable. Room has good and free wifi, no AC, bed is... More

We stayed here for two nights in March 2013. The hotel is in a quite ugly building located about 1,5 km from the Ring: you can reach it either on foot or by tram/bus. Our room was clean and with enough space to put our luggage. The staff was kind and helpful. We were requested to pay by cash. Breakfast... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
