I was staying in Vienna for business for 12 nights, so was looking for something with a kitchenette, and laundry on site. Plus close to old town (1st District), near the Schwedenplatz area and close to the Airport Bus station there. This was the place! The CheckVienna contact and booking was all done on line, and I paid in advance...

Well this place is great. although our room was a bit small, but it had all we needed for a 5 night stay. Make sure to ask for the password of the gate by email before you arrive, and if you forget, it's okay! you can just call the man from a phone next to the gate for free! No...

It was really nice to live there three days. It is like an apartment, like your own house. It is clean and you have everything needed (shower gel, salt, dishwashing liquid,... ). In 2 minutes you are in a metro station, and walking you arrive to the city center in 20 min or less. We really enjoy there because it...

We rented a nice apartment for the weekend during Christmas markets. Hard to beat this price for a place 20 minutes stroll from the very city center. Clean and well kept, we could even check in early in the day, and Wi-Fi is fast and free.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
