Pension Hargita is a great budget option. While it's outside of the inner ring, there's a U station right at its door. If you love to walk like me, sites like the Hofburg Palace and opera house are a little over a 25 minute walk and Naschmarkt in around 15 minutes away. It's also about a 10 minute walk from...

Our group of 8 stayed at the Pension Hargita this summer. This was a great hotel and we would definitely stay here again. Our triple bed accommodations were clean, neat, and perfect for my family of 3. We had a beautiful street view and a wonderful breeze to cool the room at night. Our hosts were very friendly. We arrived...

This hotel was right at the center of the city and very close to the Metro station - which was the biggest advantage. The rooms are very small, and a family of 3 can barely stand together inside this room. Though the rooms were clean and very tidy, the size was a concern. It was too cramped up, ideally good...

A relatively affordable accommodation in convenient MariaHilfa Str location for tourists, just around corner from U3 line station, and 20 minute walk to Ringstrasse and Museum Quarter. Stayed one night. Clean accommodation, small rooms, dark hallways. Ours overlooked side street with noisy drunks at midnight. One story walk up with an uninviting courtyard entrance. Standard breakfast is extra, dining room...

On a main shopping street, so very noisy. In a nice old building, but the reception is on the 1st floor and my room was on the 2nd floor. That's 2 big flights up, not the easiest when you are carrying your baggage up. It would have been nice if they had warned us of it. The receptionist when I...

We had a twin room with an en suite bathroom. It is quite small, but that wasn't a problem for us. The beds were comfortable. Everyone at reception spoke good English and was very friendly. There was a refrigerator in the hallway outside our room that we could use, which was nice to have. We had a late train the...

First of all the stairs are very slippery so be careful! The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotels location is really convenient as the subway is right outside, heaps of shops and train station not far. It's a really good setup just a few maintenance issues but otherwise very good! Oh yeh and free WIFI!!!! :D

The first thing I'd like to highlight about Pension Hargita is convenience! It's just 10m from the metro stop and it's close to everywhere. It's located in a nice commercial avenue, plenty of shops and live. Rooms are small but really clean and warm. And the hosts are kind and helpful at anytime. I'd come back to this pension with...

This pension is not in the heart of Vienna, but right outside you can find the bank, plenty of shops, and restaurants, too. So, when you are done with the heart of Vienna for the day, you can unload your bags and go back out the pension for dinner (and more shopping if you like). The restaurant selection nearby is...

The Pension Hargita located on the corner of Andreasgaße and Marianhilferstraße is a lovely, family-run pension. From the outside there is only the sign "Pension" alerting you to the location. Once inside the front door there is a long corridor that used to be used for horse-drawn carriages to drop off their passengers or deliveries to the foot of the...

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
