In the Hotel I felt like home . Very friendly staff ( receptionists , waiters , cleaners ... ) . Very close to everything. Breakfast was excellent with fruits, cereals, breads and lunch meats (served until 11.00).

This hotel is in a good location a couple blocks from Hofburg Palace and museums. It is historic yet inside has all the modern touches. Breakfast was excellent with fruits, cereals, breads and lunch meats. It was possible to get something to eat at 6am for those with an early flight which I really liked. We didn't have to go... A 1902 apartment building converted into a hotel. Gracious, understated modern elegance in a 1902 shell. Superb attention to detail, spacious rooms with high ceilings and wonderful art. Incredibly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, and afternoon tea. Very close to everything. I will hurry back.

If only all hotels could be like this one, the most civilised hotel I've ever stayed in, simply didn't want to leave we felt so at home. Worth visiting Vienna just to stay in the Altstadt. Beautifully decorated and presented with a perfect ambience and amazing staff. You couldn't ask for a better breakfast which was served until 11.00 in... More

This boutique hotel had character that cannot be replicated! Service was friendly & unrivaled. The decor and artwork was unique and colorful. Breakfast was so delicious it make getting out of bed a treat, even though the bed was furnished with crispy linens and cozy comforters!! The staff booked bicycles, restaurants and taxis at our whim. Not only will I... More

Arriving at the hotel on Sunday morning we got a very warm welcome by Jaqueline. We were lucky and were able to check into our room. "Helgas Room" is a stunning room with high ceilings, well chosen cream colour decor and large windows with flower boxes. After a busy day out we enjoyed the comp tea and homemade cake in... More

Best hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was so friendly, the rooms were amazing, the breakfast was excellent. Every room is decorated in it's own style. I stayed in the White room. Best bed I ever slept in. The room was huge.

Well situated hotel, which was almost faultless. Nice staff, quick check in, well designed and appointed room. The only real negative was that the two bedroom we rented had a layout of lounge, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bathroom and then toilet. So getting to the bathroom from lounge and first bedroom meant going through 2nd bedroom.

This hotel is a must stop for art lovers. Every inch of it is covered in contemporary paintings and photography. It's very obvious that this is a labor of love for the owners and staff. The room was spacious, the bed so good I didn't want to get out. The breakfast buffet is a mix of continental and Viennese treats--you... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
