We visited Vienna for a long weekend and stayed here. The hotel is within spitting distance of a couple of underground stops and the city centre is a 10-minute walk away.Vienna is a safe city so even walking back in the middle of the night is fine. Our room was a bit small however that did not really matter as we...

Very good hotel with good location-few meters from metro station, own parking, very polite people in reception and in whole hotel, rich breakfast, sauna and fitness. In my opinion everything was in the hight quality.

Echo the positive comments of others - this hotel is very well run, clean, maintained, good variety of food for breakfast, and the staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. We parked our vehicle in their lot, which was right out the back door. ATM close by. We just really enjoyed our stay, using two rooms, one for our older...

Very nice and comfortable hotel, the staff is helpful, the location is great for the price - near the tramstop and u-bahn. You can easily take the Scnellbahn from the airport - cheaper and more close to this hotel. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but very well-cept. The room was very clean and comfortable, lots of services for the...

First the location is not in the middle of the city or next to heavily touted tourist locales. I chose it for that reason though. It is super close to the trains and the trains can get you anywhere in Vienna with ease. The hotel is a bit older but has a classic look. The staff was helpful with suggestions...

Very nice hotel, close to railway station, subway and Prater Park. We had a good stay. Rooms are tiny but very clean and comfortable. Lot of services for the guests. The breakfast is very good and with a good choice of everything. Nice old style design in the main entrance and hall. Useful parking in the rear of the hotel.

The hotel looks a bit dated here and there, almost quirky. The old-fashioned keys may not give you the most of confidence in security and the room was a bit small. But the service, free sauna and good location beat all these shortcomings and make it a great choice to see Wien.

We stayed at this hotel as a family for 3 nights in December 2013. My Mom, who loves in Austria, joined us for 2 nights. As mentioned by others, the staff are friendly and helpful. They also spoke English. My mother arrived very early on the day she was to book in, and although her room wasn’t ready (It was...

I have been in a lots of hotels in my life. But no one of them was so great like Austria Classic Hotel Wien. Really. Super location near undergroud station and city centre but also silence and stillness to relax after long day. Impossibly big selection on breakfast, so I couldn´t chose and had to tried everything - and everything...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
