This hotel impressed me from the beginning. Because of issues with flight cancellations, I had to completely rethink our vacation. Part of this was adding a day to our stay at this hotel because of canceling other cities on our itinerary. The extra day was very reasonably priced. In addition to that, we received a room upgrade upon arrival. The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful and happy to answer questions. The room was absolutely beautiful, and adorned by lovely reproductions of the art of Gustav Klimt (as was the breakfast restaurant) a very nice touch, I thought. Every amenity is present in the room, comfortable bed, excellent climate control (particularly important, because it was unusually hot in Vienna at the time) excellent shower and bathroom facilities with a very wide sink, a refrigerator, and excellent appointments like room light controls, a timer controlled fan for the bathroom, a packet containing grooming products and a small sewing kit, and a safe. There is also a room for ironing your clothes. The staff are all friendly and go out of their way to help. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of foods and beverages and plenty of tables to accommodate the breakfast rush. This hotel treats you truly as a guest with kindness and humor. Even the “do not disturb/please service my room“ sign has humorous reasons for wanting one or the other. Their approach to hospitality is well thought out and comprehensive. I would stay here again gladly, and highly recommend.…
Pro: *Best mattress I have ever slept on in a hotel *Friendly and helpful reception *Good breakfast * Great location: near major transport station, near Prater Park , near Super market Con: *Light enters the rooms early in the morning. Curtains do not help *English channels on TV are all news, nothing beyond *One time after cleaning our room, the door was left open for a couple of hours until we came back. This event should not occur. And that was the reason for removing a point from the total score. (I must add that the receptionists were very helpful and apologized for the case)
There as a certain type of hotel you get in Germany and Austria; they are modest and have smallish rooms (often family run, non-chain hotels) but they are very good at what they do. The service is friendly, they are very clean and the fittings are always kept up to scratch (no chipped cupboards or fungus showers). They are very good value for money and you can be confident of the product. I recommend highly.
With more than 250 years of experience in accommodation, this hotel makes its guests feel like historical figures. The location is excellent. It is close to the metro and other public transportation routes.
We had a triple premium room for 5 nights, which had a separate room for a 3rd person. Our room was very quiet at the end of a hall facing the courtyard; the shower and toilet areas are separated, with good counter space around the sink. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large hallway, storage hooks, racks, etc. Breakfast options were pleasant and you can eat outside on the terrace. 5 min. walk to Nestroyplatz U-Bahn (2-3 stops to most Inner Ring sights, easy transfer to get to the Schonbrunn) restaurants, Spar market, Prater Park, etc. Their front desk/housekeeping staff are all helpful and respectful: I was able to use a 2020 hotel credit and corresponded with them for several years before we actually travelled. They assured us PCR testing was no longer required to get into the State Opera concert (opera house website wasn’t updated), saving us time/money. Check out the huge chess set on the 1st floor roof terrace (whimsical.) The Gasthaus Hansy restaurant nearby has outdoor seating (lots of locals) and awesome wait staff. The Riesenrad (ferris wheel) a short walk away was a fun way to get aerial city views. They have a laundry service which gets sent out during the day but it was expensive, so we only used it for essentials. We loved staying here and would definitely return again.…
The hotel was squeaky clean. It was also very quiet and had great lights. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also excellent with a lot of creative items. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel.
Brief visit to Vienna to see my stepbrother and his family after a long break due to the pandemic. My favorite Austria Classic Hotel Wien surprised me with a bottle of wine I had parked with them back in 2016… (totally forgotten about it).🍷Good, old Viennese hospitality! 🙏
We booked a quadruple room for three nights in late June. The room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was spotless, and the staff was friendly. Very close to public transportation and excellent restaurants. Breakfast was delicious . Best hotel we stayed at during our Europe trip
What a lovely place! All facilities fresh and so much attention to details! Everything at superlative, from the cleanliness of each corner, to the quality of small things as lights or textiles. Very professional and happy service! We'll gladly return if we get the chance!
We very easily booked this hotel directly. The room was beautiful, large and had everything you need. The hotel staff is very helpful. It is very close to two metro stations. Breakfast was also of good quality. The hotel has its own parking lot, so we didn't have to think about where we would park the car. Our child and we received several gifts at the reception (wafers, handkerchiefs, crayons, brochures...) We are very satisfied.
