We spend 4 nights in this hotel. Air condition works well, it is close to innerstad and other interesting sights too. Room was big. Pillow and bed was mediocre. Really clean. Staff great. Basic breakfast.
The room and bathroom was very spacious compared to most European hotels and the decor was clean and functional, including wooden floors which I prefer over carpeting. Breakfast was delicious and the dining area was never crowded or messy.
There are many small cafes within...More
While it is an older property our room was nicely updated and opened onto a nice covered shared balcony with a few other rooms. The location is really good with lots of dining options nearby. The balcony overlooks some green space and is pretty quiet...More
TGIF is better celebrated at Zips. Great burgers and other bar food. Selection of beer is one of the best. Always draws a crowd after work and generally a real great place to relax after an intense work week. I personally like the ample fish...More
This is a decent older hotel, in a great location which is handy for sightseeing in Vienna. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Rathaus U-Bahn, and easy to find when arriving late at night! Our room was a good size and very clean,...More

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of
overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
