If you are looking for good location in Vienna, that's a nice hotel to stay. In front of the hotel is the Westbahnhof Station, one of the main train station in the city, linking 2 subway lines and also the tram that leaves you in front of the Hofburg Palace in about 10 minutes. The hotel is close to the... More

I found the hotel to be quaint and beautiful. It has an early 1900 feel with old school carpets and stain glass windows. The location is pretty much as good as it gets. Since it is right next to Westbahnhoff underground and the trains and bus stop. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The cleaning staff were not just... More

I had a quick layover in Vienna, while traveling from Athens-NYC. I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours, near the city center and convenient to the airport, as I was leaving at 6am. Staff was excellent, very helpful and especially with transportation to the airport at such an early hour. Google didn't even list the bus... More

Our party of four stayed at the Hotel Furstenhof in mid July in the middle of a Vienna heat wave and arrived to find that the hotel has no air conditioning. However, I think even if the weather had been cooler, we would have rated the hotel as poor. Honestly, I am a little baffled by the good reviews. For... More

I ordered 3 nights at 21/7/2015. The weather was hot that days (about 34 degrees Celsius) I arrived by car but couldn't stop the car in front of the hotel, because there is not stopping place. I had to find a parking place around the block and walked with all the suitcases to the hotel. After entering the hotel, I... More

They place was clean and it was great for a stay by. The concierge (Irene) was very nice she helped me to get around and told me about some great places to eat and visit while I was there. The only thing is that there is no air conditioning, but if you are staying while the weather is good you... More

Family stayed for 3 nights. No air conditioning - very hot Vienna nights. Right across from westbanhof train station, so awesome for travel - easy to get to! And not far by metro to a the inner ring or Schonbrunn! Nice staff, okay rooms (rather small quads) and in a busy, noisy area. Overall a nice stay!

I stayed here for the Rock in Vienna festival. Great place at a very reasonable price in a convenient location near the station. Double glazing is effective so quieter than you might think. Hotel is old fashioned in a good way with large rooms, but all clean. Staff are super friendly - the lady at reception helped me get a... More

It was a 2 night stay at hotel, we took the quad room. The room was big, we were surprised that there is no coffee st at the room. The staff is very nice and the service is great. The location is perfect, just in front the train station

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
