Stayed for 3 nights end of September. On the positive side: great location (shopping zone, close to metro); very clean, room simple, but has all it needs; very quiet; quite good breakfast (though practically no fresh fruit in its offer). The free pass to public transport is a nice addition. Didn't have muh interaction with the staff, but the fact... More

I stayed two nights in this hotel. Positives: well-located; well priced; ok bed; very helpful staff and the free public transport ticket was really useful. Negatives: just too spartan-all facilities were just the right side of needing updating; my bathroom had a smell of drains that indicated faulty plumbing: smell of wet dirt. There are no public areas to speak... More

Location: The hotel is situated one block away from the a main train station ( Westbahnhoff) and on the main shopping street (Mariahilf Strasse). This means an easy commute to both the airport and the inner city (the U-Bahn stop on Mariahilf is 3 mins walking). There are many restaurants/ cafes within walking distance. Room: My room included 2 single... More

One of the best localization. By train from the airport to the Westbanhoff, next 200m by walk and you are in the hotel. Underground station No. 3 and 6 just close to the hotel: 10min to the Stephanplatz. The main shopping street, Mariahilfestrasse starts in front of the hotel. Many cafeterias and restaurants... good place for business trip and private... More

No frills hotel at the of Mariahilfer strasse near Westbanhof station, rooms are fine standard size, beds could be a bit more comfortable but also ok, breakfast also satisfactory. Parking is near the hotel and it is paid separately. Main upside of the hotel is that a pedestrian street part of Mariahilfer strasse starts from hotel and is full with... More

We spent 2 nights here & couldn’t have asked for better. The hotel is in a great location close to 2 U-bahn stations & on one of Vienna’s main streets where there are plenty of shops, restaurants & bars on the doorstep. We had a good room on the 5th floor that looked out on to Mariahilfer Strasse with a... More

I spent 2 nights here as part of a G Adventures tour. The hotel room was bright and modern, the bathroom excellent, the bed comfortable and the facilities in the room were great. Location wise it is surrounded by transport options (subway, bus & tram) and there are many cafes, restaurants, bars and shops in the surrounding area. Breakfast was... More

It is very close to metro stations. Also, it lays on a very touristic and live street where you can enjoy shopping. It offers you free transportation card which saves a great deal of money since transportation in Vienna is a bit expensive. The staff can not be nicer and more helpful. Highly recommended👍🏻

PRO: The best thing about this hotel is the location. Right on the main shopping street and very close to a U station. The hotel offers free tickets for U3 line. The check-out was smooth and the lady that attended us was very polite and nice. CONS: The reason I'm giving it only 3 stars is that it looks like... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
