My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. We loved the quiet neighborhood of old mansions. We could walk to some local restaurants and easily take a bus to the center of Vienna. It was...More

The 18th district is the most inconspicuous of the listed neighborhoods. Where else can you still watch card players at a Viennese coffeehouse, or listen to authentic Viennese folk songs with a local audience? Like most respected Viennese neighborhoods, Währing has its own street market, Kutschkermarkt, where you can best feel its pulse. One of Währing’s loveliest outdoor destinations is the small garden palace and
museum Geymüllerschlössel. The exquisite 19th century interior is spiced up by contemporary art installations curated by the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art (MAK).
