First the good stuff: personnel was nice and polite and the lobby looked very charming. Even the old fashioned elevator had this old fashioned charm first until the doors wouldn't open. A handy tip if it happens to you, don't panic and don't press the emergency button right away. Press to go to some other floor. Wait to get there and boom, doors open! Breakfast was fine. It was adequate for my personal taste as a frequent traveller. They offered water, juices and coffee for free. Bathroom was squicky clean. Never seen such a clean bathroom. It was sparkly! My room was quite bad but again it had this old fashioned charm that would have been really nice if not the problems I will state below. And I really liked the armchairs. They were big and comfortable. Now the bad stuff: The reason it has a four star rating is that they reach the bare minimum for it. Yes, there was a bar in the lobby but it was the receptionists job to handle that if asked, if they were there or not busy. Yes, there was a safe deposit box in the room, but it was locked and had no key. Yes, there was a minibar that contained one already opened bottle of water. Don't drink that. There was no bathrobe nor slippers. No iron. I don't think they had room service but for fairness sake I didn't check from the personnel. There was no mention about it anywhere though. The room had wall-to-wall carpeting and it was old, worn-out and very dirty. The room had a strong musty smell perhaps because of the carpeting. Air conditioning was old and very, very loud. It did the job though. I guess you'll get what you ask for and although I wanted a four star hotel experience I wanted to save money and got this quite charming and friendly hotel that is not up to the standards.…
I made a reservation at this hotel few months ago, from february 2022. I garanteed with my card and with 3 days before my travel they send me an email because my dates of card was no good. I send my dates again and after one more email from them i send another card, both cards are accepted at many reservation for years !!! So, they cancelled and when i called them our room was already given. So, it is inacceptable from a hotel from Wien to make some unbelievable tricks with clients, only because we had a very good price for that room !!! Avoid them !!!!
Nice hotel, but it’s a 20 min train ride to get into the centre of Vienna. Rooms are okay, air conditioning works okay. No tea or coffee in rooms but a machine in breakfast room. Breakfast is a fairly limited choice of continental buffet, supposed to be a 24 hour service on reception and bar and on our last night we decided to have a drink at our hotel, 10 o’clock everything is locked up, no staff to be seen at all, and the internet was so slow we assumed it had also been switched off!
A horrible experience. I stayed here for three nights, and I felt like I was in a Dario Argento' s movie. When we arrived for the check-in, despite we had a reservation for three people -as we showed to the receptionist through the site we used to book - he continued to say we booked for 2 people in a rude and arrogant way. After seeing it was a mistake accountable to him, he gave us a room. The door lock was broken (you had to be a thief to open it in less than 5 minutes, probably), the couch was really dirty. The bathroom faucet was so crooked that he looked like the Pisa Tower. But the worse thing was how they treated us when we left. At the check-out we left the key in a vase (as the rules said) and we looked for someone to reception, but as always no one was here. So we left, in order to not lose the plane. When we was in the airport, I had a call from the hotel: the receptionist said the breakfast was no paid, yelling at me and treating me like I was a thief of the worse kind. After explaining him 30 times the breakfast was included (and I was to send him an email with the evidence of the site riservation, who clearly said breakfast was paid), he hanged up the call yelling and threating us, saying he would have holding the cash from my card. After 5 minutes, after seeing I was effectively right, he called back and apologized a thousand time, with a voice like a wet kitten (after treating us like garbage, five minutes ago). The only positive thing about the hotel is the location: it's very strategic (the metro is nearby), but how they deal with the customer is really horrible. What to say, Vienna is wonderful! But stay away from this hotel.…
Nice hotel but…. We didn’t had coffee and tea ( coffee apart was in a room and kettle ) in the room. We went in four ( me, my husband and our 2 daughters ) and we had only 2 towels! Staff kindly. Inside was nice, friendly, room was clean. For one night was okay.
The hotel is positioned near the centre, like 15 min with metro. The room was cleaning and they have a good breakfast. Good staff in the reception, thank you Juan for information. Just a small problem was. With the transfer from airport to hotel, the hotel teel as a price and we pay more at the driver. Best regards, BogdanCr
I and my wife visited here in Dec and thought thi seemed like a nice 4 star hotel from the pictures and website.......very wrong. The receptionist Clara was very rude and not polite at all, like she did not want to be there and accused us several times of lying about the heating not working, the window in the room being faulty and letting in a big draft and a lot of noise, even after being shown, she just walked out of the room without saying anything and ignored us. We have full video recordings as well as pictures of all incidents we saw and sent them to their head office. The lobby was terrible with damp stains on ceiling and walls, the floors are dirty as are the walls with lots of marks, there is no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms as you have to go into the small restaurant to make it, our room window was faulty and let in huge cold draft in Dec and also a lot of noise from the traffic, the blinds were broken as were the light fittings, there were lots of cracks and damages on the ceiling in the room as well as the walls. The air condition does not work. the bathroom door creaked very loudly and had hair in the bath tub and floor. The Service from the staff is one of the worst I have seen in a long long time. A very very bad hotel to stay at.....and they call it 4 star!!!! very disappointing indeed. This is more like a hostel. i complained to head office and was offered a very small compensation after submitting my videos and pictures...only after I was told by the head office manager that he did not see any reason for my complaint after speaking with the staff only and not us. There is a big problem with this group of hotels which is easy to see from the reactions of the senior managers of the group as well as the staff at this hotel and their handling of these matters and the terrible condition of the hotel. There are many other nice hotels to stay at than this ladies and gentlemen, don't make the same mistake we did and think it will be ok, because it was terrible. Just read all of the bad reviews as they pretty much all say the same things, that's when you know there is a big problem. Best of luck on your holidays.…
1. location is not closed to center is 3km distance 2. every morning same breakfast 3. temperature in the room maximum 24 degrees 4. Clara from reception was very rude with the children in the lobby 5. dirty walls in the room 6. no sleepers 7. no bath robes 8. only 8 tv channels available rest of tens were blocked because the CI card was missing 9. the fridge is not working 10. at “4stars” the parking fee is 15 euro per night even if you’re a guest there 11. during Christmas there is no restaurant inside the hotel (actually they don’t have restaurant available at all)
It’s not really a 4 star hotel in my opinion. An ok 3 star, friendly staff, ok breakfast BUT the beds are rock hard! My husband has a bad back and after two nights could hardly walk. It’s a way out of the centre and 15 euro each way in a cab, there is other transportation, trams and trains nearby but we only had two days and wanted to cram as much as possible in. Perfectly acceptable but we wouldn’t go back.
Was a nice hotel and a good place to stay. It is very close to Nussdorfer Strasse on Line U6 and the recommended stop to use to access the hotel. The room was comfortable, the bed and pillow were good. The shower was tiny and could barely fit one person. The staff was nice and the breakfast was very good. I would certainly stay here again.
