This is a good choice for short stays where basic amenities will suffice. It does not meet the standards of a four star hotel. Nonetheless the front desk staff makes an effort to be helpful and the breakfast buffet is varied providing a hearty start to the day. Tram lines run nearby and make connections to the metro easy. Karlsplatz... More

Very friendly staff at reception, bar and breakfast room - they are doing a great job. Hotel more like a 3 star than a 4 star in terms of accommodation and breakfast. While I was there I saw American hiking and cycling groups meeting up to start touring and it suits that with a small bar area where strangers strike... More

4 star near university that seems more of a 3.5 star. I would stay here again if I had another meeting close by. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the city center area. Pros: -clean bathtub -good A/c control -great location for university meeting -plenty of shampoo in gigantic dispenser (but no conditioner) -bar open until midnight -excellent buffet... More

The Hotel is quiet and clean, breakfast are fine ! Though not a 4 stars hotel, but rather a nice 3 stars....... only one very slow and rather small elevator to deserve 7 floors....a couple of times I had to wait 20 minutes before seeing someone at the desk..... not even a small fitting room.....

My husband and I spent 6 days at this hotel. It was very nice and the staff very pleasant. Plus, it is literally just down the street from the American Embassy. Our room was on the 6th floor: 2 twin beds and a terrace with a rooftop view toward the city. The beds are comfortable and the room nicely maintained.... More

The room was a decent size with a little table and two chairs besides the desk area. The double bed is really two beds pushed together, and thus was a good size by European standards. The bed was comfortable, although I prefer the option of sheets to a simple comforter that was too warm for a midsummer stay. There is... More

Although not right in the middle of Vienna, this little hotel is central enough and in a quiet neighbourhood. The reception was friendly and easy, the rooms were big enough and clean and the bathrooms were clean. There is a small bar which is very friendly. Breakfast was good. All in all, a clean, good little hotel.

I had a comfortable stay: the hotel is located near the historical center of Vienna (and around the corner from the Freud Museum), but on a quiet street. The room was clean, and in the middle of a heat wave the air conditioning offered great relief. The breakfast buffet is an excellent deal, offering a vast array of choices (including... More

Dear Guest, We are glad you enjoyed your stay and liked our breakfast, the air conditioning, breakfast buffet and our general service. You are right, our Standard rooms have smaller showers, but an upgrade to a comfort room is possible most of the time against an extra charge of EUR 10.00 per night – just ask at the reception! I recently spent 7 nights at the Hotel Boltzmann. The hotel has a nice neighborhood location, out of the "tourist bubble" but a short walk or tram ride from the Schottentor Metro Station (and all of Vienna). There are also a number of nice restaurants withing a 10-15 minute walk. My room was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
