My husband and I spent 6 days at this hotel. It was very nice and the staff very pleasant. Plus, it is literally just down the street from the American Embassy. Our room was on the 6th floor: 2 twin beds and a terrace with a rooftop view toward the city. The beds are comfortable and the room nicely maintained.... More

The room was a decent size with a little table and two chairs besides the desk area. The double bed is really two beds pushed together, and thus was a good size by European standards. The bed was comfortable, although I prefer the option of sheets to a simple comforter that was too warm for a midsummer stay. There is... More

Although not right in the middle of Vienna, this little hotel is central enough and in a quiet neighbourhood. The reception was friendly and easy, the rooms were big enough and clean and the bathrooms were clean. There is a small bar which is very friendly. Breakfast was good. All in all, a clean, good little hotel.

I had a comfortable stay: the hotel is located near the historical center of Vienna (and around the corner from the Freud Museum), but on a quiet street. The room was clean, and in the middle of a heat wave the air conditioning offered great relief. The breakfast buffet is an excellent deal, offering a vast array of choices (including... More

Dear Guest, We are glad you enjoyed your stay and liked our breakfast, the air conditioning, breakfast buffet and our general service. You are right, our Standard rooms have smaller showers, but an upgrade to a comfort room is possible most of the time against an extra charge of EUR 10.00 per night – just ask at the reception! Thank... More

I recently spent 7 nights at the Hotel Boltzmann. The hotel has a nice neighborhood location, out of the "tourist bubble" but a short walk or tram ride from the Schottentor Metro Station (and all of Vienna). There are also a number of nice restaurants withing a 10-15 minute walk. My room was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning... More

This Hotel offers quite good accomodation for the price. Service is attentive and very helpfull, at the reception as well as at the small bar located on the ground floor. That is the very good thing about this hotel, with the breakfast wich is a very large buffet, offering a great choice of fruits, muesli, pastries, eggs etc. For the... More

Arriving in the evening, my friends were already ensconced in the hotel. The room was clean, functional and roomy. The bed was reasonably comfortable. As this was a sight seeing holiday where we didn't spend a great deal of time in the hotel, it was perfect for the occasion. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was buffet style... More

We were booked into this hotel by the university while on a business trip. Staff were very helpful in making dinner reservations, calling for taxis etc. The room, a double, was a bit spartan but had all the basics - good enough for a two night visit. Lovely position for all sights and public transport . Rooms a bit basic but clean. Bed was not that comfy a larger one would be better a bit like Premier Inn have .Service excellent. Would recommend for a short break any longer and more comfort would be required .

Dear Helen, Thank you very much for your rating and your kind recommendation. You booked our standard category, which, as you pointed out, is a more basic option. Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
