It is a great place to stay, especially for a visit to the University. It is extremely quiet. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is amazing, with all the choices. The rooms are modest, but comfortable and cozy. Will come back again.
Let's start with the good things - the breakfast provided was excellent and the location is great. The room we had was fine but a little outworn, you feel that this hotel has been in use as-is for a while. I felt we paid to much for what we got - the room as about 130€ and the breakfast an additional €10 (pre-paid, otherwise €14 per person). My bed missed the nightstand and when I complained I was told that they would call housekeeping to fix this. When we returned to the hotel, still no nightstand. They apologized when checking out and, when politely asked, gave us one day breakfast for free. At least. For that price I'd expect a complete room and some proactive activity by the hotel to keep its customers happy. Even the IBIS chain have the 15 minutes satisfaction guarantee....…
Inexpensive hotel with air conditioning your only requirement because you come from northern Canada where it is cold? Sure, they offer this; The problem is that their a/c units are programmed to be disabled after midnight. When you are on the 7th floor and it is 33c outside, it is very hot and very humid. Our ONLY requirement was A/C at night so we could sleep. After the first night of the staff ‘not being able to do anything’ and the manager not being around we stayed anyways believing they would attempt to make it right. We were not even offered to eat the (15€ pp) breakfast as an apology. Every hotel in the area without AC is half the price and offered FREE breakfast. Do NOT give these people any money. The night staff ( a very nice young woman) was very apologetic and wanted to help but her manager won’t let her do anything. Conveniently the manager is never available in the evening and doesn’t come to work until after 10am. Who on vacation sits at the hotel all day?? Who wants to waste their vacation dealing with nonsense? What kind of hotel dismisses you when they realize how upset you are? What kind of hotel has to go through all the empty rooms to find a single working fan? Read my reviews of almost everywhere, I don’t have high expectations and I’m generally very happy with service I receive. I only needed to sleep a few hours each night and this is the second night I will get no sleep because this hotel is worse than any I’ve stayed at outside of the US and Canada. Even my hotels in the Philippines provided better service for half the price. I am absolutely disgusted. …
This small hotel is located near downtown. The strong plus is the hotel staffs, they were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast here was also good. Room was clean and cozy but bed mattress needed major improvement. Pillows were also way too soft and flat.
Not sure how this hotel gets its 4 star rating. The staff people are all delightful and helpful, but the walls of the rooms are paper thin, the mattresses are sway-backed, the pillows are worn out and the shower goes from freezing to scalding intermittently and randomly while thoroughly wetting the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet is quite good, with breads, cereals, yogurts and musli, veggies, cheeses, and smoked salmon eggs, and sausages.
We stayed for 3 nights. Arrived late but the reception was friendly and accomodating. The beds were not good, but there were possible for additional mattressed. The hotel is clean and the reception very good. The rooms were a bit old. Could have use for a renovation in the upcoming years. Very good location
I had great experience staying at Boltzmann. This is my second time staying here. Room is spacious and this time they gave me one with a nice balcony facing the city. Bed is comfortable and the location is nearby to city, only couple of metro station. Room is clean as well. Ask for room 610, the room is very nice. My only critics would be the breakfast, its too expensive for Euro 14 per pax compared to other hotel. Hotel staffs are very helpful especialie Natalie. Thank you Boltzmann.
It's a nice place. It is not all that close to the city centre but not way too far either. It is a 10 minute walk to the start of the city centre. The hotel is safe and manned at the reception for 24 hours. The rooms are clean albeit a little small. The staff are lovely.
Very nice hotel Very central, only 10 minute walk to the centre of VIENNA Rooms are basic, but roomy Very cleaned, the housekeepers do a great job 24 hour reception, receptionists were very helpful Had breakfast in hotel in the first morning Nice enough ,but a bit pricey €14:00 PER person Had breakfast outside after that, plenty of places to eat,for half the price As I've said ,nice hotel If ever I was in VIENNA again I would stay here again One minor criticism Would've liked tea and coffee facilities in the room
Hotel is situated in the university area of Vienna. It was a ten minute walk to the city centre. There are trams nearby but we enjoyed the walk. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Only recommendation to the hotel would be tea/coffee facilities in the room. We went for a drink at the bar one evening but the choice of drinks was limited to say the least. Staff were helpful and friendly.
