We stayed here the last night of a week in Austria. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable, we had just the basic room and it was perfect for our needs and plenty comfortable. We changed rooms once because we were initially given a room with an adjoining door (which we are not fans of :)) and we were very politely accommodated and given a different room. All the staff are friendly and helpful in fact. We could sit on a window ledge and look out at the park, which we loved. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. We visited the oldest traditional cafe in Vienna from here -7 minutes walk away - Cafe Schwarzenburg, which had fabulous vegan goulash, so make sure to pay them a visit - all these great old atmospheric places are suffering because of covid. We very much enjoyed the pool the next morning. You have to book, only 10 allowed at a time, but there was only 1 other person when we went. Pool was very clean and not too hot or cold. We'd love to stay here again, the only gripe is that we found it expensive compared to our other Vienna hotel experience (Rafael Kaiser appartments), and this hotel is rated as 5 star, which it isn't. It's more like a great 4 star. However, I can highly recommend it and would love to return.…
I visited Vienna in the summer time and find hotel close from the old town. During 3 days I did not use car and public transport. To the all important for tourists points is very close. Hotel's visitors can use professional gym and pool. For morning jogging very nice park.
Well located hotel with easy access to all major attractions. Reception at the lobby is very quick and polite. Breakfast really nicely prepare in spite of Corona regulations. The team at Bkf is very attentive and friendly to everyone. Bed comfort is tremendous good but Housekeeping should be attentive not to clean and arrange it too late. We were the whole day out and back to a power nap our room was still unprepared but with a short call they came very quick. In an all anything to really complain. Sad that we could not enjoy swimming pool but at this time we understand because of all stress with COVID19
Overdue from a pre-pandemic stay. LOVED this place. Location: As you can see in reviews and via website the location is fantastic. I had chosen a room overlooking the park (stadtpark) and thoroughly enjoyed that. I walked a block or two around the corner to take the yellow tram around the ring, which was fun and easy. I also purchased a muti day ticket the hop on off bus which has a stop in front of hotel, so that is hard to beat. Hotel sold vouchers too, which helped out. You are close enough to walk down to the Opera House, although that area is where the hop on off buses start, so you can also easily take those or trams (didn’t get the hand of these). Walking up the side streets from the hotel takes you to St. Stephen cathedral. I’m one of the few who paid to tour and tour crypt, enjoyed them all. This is also right off the big pedestrian shopping area, so again big pluses for the location Staff: The staff here were very welcoming and accommodating. I arrived early on international flight but they were able to get me into my room quite early. Just had time for a short comfy visit to the concierge lounge. Got concierge help with various tickets and other suggestions I owe them a great debt for helping me out getting my onward train ticket purchased and arranging pick up via the next Marriott I was staying in Budapest. THANKS!!!!!! Room – my room was very comfortable, although I had to work a little bit to organize the lamp to read over the long partial sofa as opposed to reading chair. I propped myself up with back to window to get the natural light. Food and Drink – With the generous offerings in the morning and evening, I had quite a few breakfasts and “light” dinners in the concierge lounge. It was just great, with very hard working staff keeping things running. It can get crowded particularly in evening as they provide several hours of alcoholic beverages included, I just remember wine/beer, not sure on hard liquor. There is and outside terrace attached as well. Due to my misunderstanding, I didn’t realize that with Marriott status, you also could go the main restaurant for their breakfast buffet. So after a couple days, so I switched over there (2nd floor) . It is a beautiful buffet with everything you can think of and (I missed it at first) includes champagne!! The restaurant is large with windows lining the entire front which therefore looks out over stadtpark (over the street to….). I believe the buffet prices was a little steep. I presume that concierge lounge access is worth paying for if you’ll be around to enjoy it. It’s certainly a great benefit for those with the appropriate Marriott status. The hotel has various shops lining the ground floor that open into the lobby. One in particularly seems to have everything for the tourist including necessities and a very substantial offering of souvenirs. Also some casual tea and light meals and a burger place on ground floor accessible from street. (Had lunch there.) I found this hotel very welcoming, comfortable and convenient and was very thrilled with my choice as a tourist.…
We've upgraded to a suite and it's stellar. We have one and half baths, a large dining and conference room, living room, bedroom and bath with large shower. Our room is larger than our current house. at a location across from THE City Park. On our first short evening we avail ourselves of the concierge lounge for dinner. We love European Marriott properties.
