Just on the edge of the city opposite the English Park sits the majestic Marriott Hotel. Although the entrance doesnt shout oppulence the inside certainly does. The receptìon area is very large and the staff are extremely accommodating and very professional and helpful. The recently refurbed rooms are amazing in colour and cleanliness and the service is very good. The...

Great location if you are looking to stay in the middle of the city. Metro station is in the park across the street and we used it to get to Vienna central station, Schonbrunn Palace, and the airport. Easy walking distance to museums and church's in the middle of the city.

Sorry we could only stay for one night, on transit from Graz to Melbourne. We arrived well before check in time to be greeted by a queue of hundreds of people trying to get into the hotel! It was Cheesecake Tasting Day at the Marriott! Friendly and very helpful staff loaded our luggage onto trolleys and check in was a...

It is a nice hotel with lovely staff and a good location. However the air conditioning in the room could not be permanently turned off, and it was really terrible and very noisy. Despite asking the reception twice to deactivate the unit, it remained on and prevented me sleeping for two nights. I also got a sore throat as did...

Very nice hotel, great location across the street from subway stop, grocery store, and a large city park. We were able to get a triple room for our family which was a large corner room with two large windows. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and room was large. The bathroom was modern and a good size. The price...

Took the CAT train and walked from the train station. Walking up, kind of questioned our choice. That was our only question. Everything about the hotel, top notch! The accomadations, top notch! The cleanliness, no doubt the employees take pride in what they do. The front desk, couldn't be more friendly and attentive. If given the opportunity to go back,...

It was easy to travel from the airport by the express train and then a pleasant stroll across the park. It's but a short walk to the city centre and sights (we found there were few bars to visit, near to the hotel, in the evening). our arrival, we were greeted warmly at reception and allowed an early check-in. The...

Refreshing visit. After landing and finding my way from baggage claim exiting and going right following the signs to the CAT Train to take in Vienna (Wien). Ticket booth can't miss then neon green everywhere to include baggage claim and before and at the track. 12 euros oneway unless you want public transportation after then it 19 euros. Was easy....

This was my first time staying here, I was just in town for one night and wanted something centrally located. I'm not all that familiar with Vienna so I can't say for sure but I believe this hotel is in a good central location, it was about a 7 min walk from the CAT station. There is a nice park...

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
