Attended a conference. Very nice architecture, well located, great conference and business facilities. A bit disappointed by the overall maintenance of the rooms and building, a bit worn out, needs freshening up. Bar is rather small for such an hotel, also noisy as it is...More

The hotel is a bit outside the major tourist area but is easily accessible by train. It is very comfortable and the restaurant is a nice place for a quiet dinner. Overall the quality is that of a mid level Marriott.More

Recently stayed here for business. The location was perfect. Great view of a beautiful church. Close to the S Bahn and a 15 minute walk to city center. Interesting building history. Unfortunately the building isn’t the only “historic” thing. The original rooms are in desperate...More

Hi Peter W,
I was in Vienna last December (2016)
There are two tourist sightseeing bus companies. The Big Bus Company (Red/Brown from memory) and the Vienna Sightseeing buses. (Green and Yellow). Both companies seem to start their tour routes at the Opera House (Oper Stop) I used the Vienna Sightseeing Bus and it was very good. The YELLOW LINE stops at the Belvedere Palace. Be sure to get off at the Schloss Belevedere stop if you want a short walk into the Palace because if you get off at the Schwarzenberg Platz (Lower Belvedere) Stop it is at the back and about 10-15min walk up the path to the Palace.
Also if you walk up the street from the hotel to the traffic lights you will see the tram stop on the left across the road.
The tram stop is called Rennweg. If you get on a tram that goes into the Ringstrasse, there is a Belevedere stop on that line that stops right outside the Palace. That tram goes right up to the Ringstrasse and the major sites and tour bus stops there. I highly recommend purchasing a Vienna Pass if you are spending more than a couple of days in Vienna. Tickets for the trams and other transport are included with the Pass which also includes free or express entry into many attractions. I took a 6 day pass and it was excellent in everyway. I did not need to pay for any transport or attraction fees my whole stay. Just showed my Vienna Pass and off I went. Yes it is expensive to start with but once there I realised tha I definitely got my money value twice over.
