I don't know whether all double rooms are the same but ours was quite large by European standards. The room opened directly into the lobby which would not have been our first choice but we actually had no noise issues. There was an interior door into the sleeping area separating it from the small entry way, bathroom and closet which... More

This a great hotel in a very convenient location. Five minutes walk to the U-3 subway. Close to the old city center and to restaurants and shopping. The front desk was friendly and helpful. They made my stay in Vienna very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

This hotel is a nice older hotel - don't expect any bells or whistles, but it is a good place to explore Vienna. It is a short distance walk to the Opera House. Very simple but comfortable. Breakfast is decent and plentiful. Nothing against the hotel, but I might try a different place if I went back to Vienna. That... More

warm and kind environment.. personnel smile and friendly.. very clean.. simple and elegant decoration in the old times style.. near of centers of interest in the heart of Vienna.. the only minus, was the difficulty of Wi-Fi access from the rooms during days of overload.. breakfast nice but could be a little better with more variety on coffees, cheeses and... Stayed for 4 nights, cannot recommend it enough, the hotel is in a central location and is spotless. I asked the reception for help with information with regards to our onward journey and the gentleman who I don't know his name, but he was charming and had a beard! He was so helpful and kind, you must stay here if... More

This is a nice B&B hotel with a pleasant 19th century décor. The room was spacious with individual central heating, comfortable beds and modern toilet and bathroom. There was a good selection at the continental breakfast with pleasant and attentive waiting staff. Reception staff were very helpful. Location is just a couple of minutes walk from the longest shopping street... More

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is quite central, being in Neubau, the hip Seventh district. It is within walking distance of the Museum Quarter, the Naschmarkt, malls, independent boutiques and restaurants. The city centre (Old Vienna) is a couple of metro stops away. The rooms are spacious, with a separate walk-in closet and toilet. Breakfast... More

Very nice hotel in an excellent position. Old fashioned deco- no blemishes either which I am quick to spot. Spacious room, bathroom with separate toilet and very comfortable beds. Good breakfast choices and lovely coffee delivered with nice smiles.

Nice small hotel (a hotel garni is one that just does B&B) just outside the central ring but convenient for the Ubahn. In a nice area with plenty places to eat and a main shopping area a block away. The hotel is clean and although the style is quite traditional it is still quite fresh looking. Loo and bathroom are... More

Rooms were tastefully done. Bathrooms were luxurious. Biggest negative point was no lift to carry luggage. Felt sorry when a lady came to pick up our heavy luggage. It is a street away from the best shopping place of Vienna.

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
