Was impressed with the hotel. It was near the train station and the tube station which made it easy to get about. The rooms were basic but the bathroom was very plesent. Also the bar next door (run by a local boxer) was a very nice place.

This hotel has a lot of character and charm. Our triple room was clean, comfortable and rather large for my husband, my daughter and me. It had a lovely view out toward the city and the AC worked especially well. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate with many choices and the staff was always gracious and helpful, often offering... More

Dates of Stay: 17 July-18 July 2008 (one night) #1 thing I will remember about this hotel- We had to catch a train before 7 am (the primary reason that I chose this hotel) so I asked if they could pack us a breakfast while we had a cup of coffee just before the breakfast was to open at 6:30... Very nice hotelrooms. Bathrooms above average, the breakfast as well. Very helpful and serviceminded staff! The hotel is nearby both train and u-bahn. 5 minutes to Stephansplatz.

The Hotel is up the block from the train station and not near any tourist destinations. A cab ride is necessary to anywhere. No Internet access in the rooms ! One computer in the lobby. If you want internet wireless access the hotel charges you $16.00US per day and you have to go to the 2nd floor to gain the... More

We stayed at the Prinz Eugen for 1 night in early June 2008. As other reviews have said, the hotel is easy to find as it's obliquely opposite the sudbahnhof (south train station). The city centre is relatively close but I don't know what sort of walk it is as a friend was driving us around. I do know that... More

Really nice hotel right across the street from the train station making it handy coming in from the Airport or by Train. The hotel room itself was nice and quiet even though on a busy street. Twin bed set up was unique with a little half wall seperating the beds which made it nice and private. Very clean and well... More

We stayed at the Prinz Eugen for 6 days around Xmas 2007. The area isn't that fancy but it's close to metro, tram and the Sudbahnhof. You can even walk to the center in about 30-40 min if you feel like it. The spacious and clean rooms overlooked a busy road but the soundproof glasses worked well. Breakfast was ok... More

I stayed here in June 2008 after getting in from a conference in Budapest. I needed a handy location and this hotel is ideally placed. Travel into the city centre was easy. It's actually walkable if you have the time, down along Prinz Eugen Strasse next to Belvedere Palace and along then into the city centre. It'll take you about... More

Booked this popular hotel through Hotel club and paid €118 per night for a Double room with breakfast. Area tremendously convenient for public transport with Sud Banhof across the road aswell as metro and buses and underground - even if not very pretty. Station also has a very well stocked supermarket open til 23.00 . Hotel Staff very friendly and... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
