We chose the hotel for the location; it's a walking distance from Karlsplatz, the Vienna State Opera, the historic centre, and the train station. It's also very convenient for trams and metro. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

This relaxed hotel is a 12-minute walk from Vienna State Opera and 1.5 km from a train station. Ranging from modern to straightforward, the rooms and suites with wood floors feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and desks, plus seating areas and minibars. Upgraded rooms add chandeliers, while suites have separate living rooms with sofas. Complimentary amenities include a breakfast buffet,... More

The hotel room and service was ok, but the building the hotel resides in would benefit from some re-decoration. Hotel location suited our plans for the stay as well. Only had one night reserved at the hotel, and everything was good enough for our needs (restaurant and shopping plans).

I can fully understand the split opinions on this premises. First it depends where you get your room and most importantly what do you expect. I can recommend a room facing to courtyard in higher floors, on the left when exiting the elevator. Further it is a perfect place to spend your relaxing time when in Vienna for Karlsplatz concerts.... More

I reserved a top room floor with a higher price to have the air conditioning. AC did not work, no attempt to fix it, and I think it never worked since a long time. The same with the safe box, existing but definitely not working. Smelly corridors, wood floor never repaired and with holes, bathroom internal in the room with... More

Was visiting for a conference which was extended to a family trip. The room was at the back of the hotel (room 205), it was clean and simple which is exactly what I needed and expected for the price. The hotel was well located and was so close to the transport links which you couldn't ask for more. I didn't... More

We worked through a travel agency to book this hotel in Vienna and paid in advance, so we were pretty much stuck, I'm giving this 2 "dots" because the staff were very nice and tried very hard, and the location was excellent, but that was it! The place is shabby, the room was very hot with no air circulation, the... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night. I originally was given room #36. Although it was very spacious, the outside noise was WAY TOO LOUD. I can usually sleep through noises, when the tram would drive past the hotel (every 5-7 minutes), it sounded like 10 motorcycles were passing by! I eventually asked reception to change rooms. They accommodated... More

On the plus side the hotel in is quite well located. However our first impressions which seemed accurate, was that the hotel is accessed via a rundown entrance lobby in a shared building with outdated facilities in a poorly maintained building overseen by someone at the desk who didn't care a jot. It advertises a room safe. Yes there is... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
