Friendly staff, clean, good value for room rate. As a single traveler it was refreshing to find a Hotel close to the hustle and bustle but still quite enough to enjoy. Walking distance From the U, Vienna Oprah house and the shopping strip. Hotel offers assistance with tours, transfers and about anything you require.

DO NOT stay in rooms with double digits (33-60 something). Our room had the smallest "bathroom" I have ever encountered in a hotel. There was a small shower and a small sink. Nowhere to put any toiletries or even hang towels really. The space between the shower and the wall was just wide enough for the door to enter the... More

Great stay (if you stay on floors 4-6). Recently renovated spacious rooms, helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. There's no restaurant at the hotel, but you'll find several cafeterias and traditional Austrian restaurants nearby (Wieden Bräu and Wiener Wirtschaft). Breakfast is open until 12:00 every morning and when you come back to the hotel late afternoon, you'll find... More

I stayed here 1 night, since I was just passing through Vienna, for a flight the next morning, and though not luxurious, this hotel definitely has a good cheap solution.. located within walking distance of Karlsplatz, so good location too..

Our room was really spacious, clean and modern bathroom, we were on the 602 room. The hotel is small and nice, about 15 minutes walk from the shopping area and 20 minutes from Belvedere museum. Breakfast goes until 12pm!!!!! Good breakfast and great value from money.

I stayed here for the second time and asked for a 3 person room. It was an excellent and clean room with bathroom with shower. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful in both English and German. I liked the good afternoon coffee and cake on the house.

Stayed here end of September. Staff at the reception really kind and helpful. Nice and cleaned room, great location( 15 minutes walking to Stephenplatz). I liked the style of the hotel for a city like Vienna. If you like something modern just don't book it. Breakfast a little expensive (12 euros per person). I totally recommend it for a short... Back to the Papageno for a second stay. Well what a disappointment. Given room 57 and I can honestly say it wasn't what I'd expect any hotel to allocate for a four night stay. Dark (only one of the three chandelier bulbs in place), dingy (old 60's style wooden furniture with handles falling off drawers), no view (first floor out... More

The upgraded rooms remain pretty tiny, with room for a double-bed and a desk and that is about it. A couple would find it a tight space. The bathroom was newly remodeled and roomy. Breakfast is not bad if expensive for what you get. The location is close to most of what you want to get to in Vienna, and... More

We stayed 3 nights in hotel. The hotel is located in the city centre close to Karlsplatz and Belvedere. Directly in front of the hotel is located tram stop. Staff is helpful. We stayed in spacious room with 2 separate rooms. Furniture except the bathroom is quite old and no air condition is in the room. Continental breakfast was very... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
