The neighborhood is not a good one. They have hygiene problems. I do not recommend to eat breakfast at this hotel, better try the snack bars close the hotel. If you lose the last train you will have to pay o lot a taxi to get to the hotel.

I would have a minus to this hotel.Even to the best of my knowledge a regular hostel room would have free wifi. Yes, they stated free wifi. When we checked they said some technical problem. Rather it's not. It's actually not. The wifi was not working only in our room. We requested for a change in room after one night... More

Good location, the rooms are clean, climatised, but breakfast is not included, 9 euros for breakfast is too much, the staff is helpful but not very polite. I would use the hotel again because of location.

We stayed here for four nights and are very satisfied. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Just across the road from the suburban train station and the tram station. With the weekly unlimited travel ticket, we could go everywhere in a few minutes. The hotel has a fine lobby, Very cooperative staff and a decent breakfast. The... More

This was the second time we stayed in allegro. It's very cheap as we payd 55 euros for a night. We got an magnificent room, but i think they gave us it because we had stayed there befote. It's easy to center from Allegro because the Undeground tram stop is opposite the hotel. The receptionist was very helpfull as he... More

I stayed there 2 nights with my friend, we were satisfied. I think its a good choice for that price. Everything was clean, staff was nice, wifi worked, location is good, you can easily get to the city centre. Hotel is situated on busy road, so if you can't sleep in the little noise, you can have a problem ,... More

We stayed here for two nights to recoup after our very long, tiring flight from Australia. It's close to the railway stations and we didn't have far to walk from the airport train and the train to Slovenia or next destination. The area has a lot of small restaurant's,bars and cafes many Turkish family owned places ,it's more of a... More

This is a budget hotel and once you accept this then no real problems. We were informed that there was air conditioning but our room had none and it was 31 degrees outside so a little hot at night! The Hotel is handy for transport being near to Rail and Tram stations. We walked into the centre of Vienna each... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
