We booked 2 monthes before arrival (2 rooms, cathedral view, not refundable). Not a low price but a very fair for what you get. From the moment we enterd the hotel untill we checked out we were treated very well. All the stuff - reception, rooms, restaurants - were fantastic. Everyone is ready to serve you anytime. The location is...

I had never been to Vienna and was really struggling with hotel choices, but after having stayed at Hotel Am Stephansplatz, I would not stay anywhere else, it's a no-brainer. First, location, location, location. You can't be more central, yet it's still quiet in the hotel. Second, the room. I don't think the pictures online really did it justice. The...

This hotel has to be in the best location for Vienna. The underground station (which is one of the main hubs for the network) is direct outside the hotel, making it so easy to get to any of the sites across the city. Rooms are modern and well equipped. I would definitely recommend booking one of the rooms with cathedral...

This hotel is so convenient to everything in Vienna. You can walk everywhere, but if you're not up to it, there's a u-bahn practically outside the door! The breakfasts are great, the staff sweet and helpful (especially Sandy at the desk. She was wonderful.). My room had a fabulous view of the cathedral, and it was very comfortable in every...

CONVENIENT!! Great location, 4 steps from underground train station. Buy a Vienna pass and you're set to explore Vienna. Eating breakfast watching the crowds in front of the church is good fun. Not noisy - only pedestrian chatter from main square. If you can, stay here.

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
