Great location - very central but quiet, easy to walk to many of the main attractions. Breakfast lovely, staff helpful. Bonus of a free concert with a glass of champagne on Sunday evening! Would recommend it.

We stayed at Hotel Beethoven for a long weekend to see the sights of Vienna. It is a pleasant hotel near to the famous Nachesmarkt and Secession building. It is reasonably close to the city centre (approximately 10 minutes walk) and in a relatively quiet street. Our 4th floor room was clean and comfortable. We were next to the lift... More

My husband and I stayed here one night and had a perfect stay. We reserved a standard room but were upgraded to a larger room, which was a very nice surprise. It was wonderful! The decor was very modern and the room was very spacious. It was all very clean and comfortable. It was a cool setup. Instead of one... More

Picked this hotel from the Internet as being well-located and reasonably priced. It proved an excellent decision- the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Opera House, and 2 minutes from an underground station. Naschmarkt is also 2 minutes away. The bedrooms were adequate - not huge, but OK for 2, and we had a third bed in one room... More

We came to Vienna for an Opera Ball and Beethoven Hotel helped us to feel an old Vienna and complete the experience. Wonderful, friendly and approachable hotel owner had a genuine interest in quality of our stay and wellbeing. (I was given honey to treat my sudden cold with directions on how to use it:). Rooms are nicely decorated, very... More

Stayed here for a week to celebrate big birthday and an anniversary. Staff very pleasant and hotel in good location to be in centre on foot in less than 10 minutes. Room nice and the only criticism I could make about the hotel would be that the self service area in breakfast room is a little cramped to access, as... More

Stayed here for two nights in August. The day we arrived it was thunder and lightening!! The staff are wonderful. Out room was tight for space but beautifully decorated and the bathroom well kitted out. The hotel lets you help yourself to tea and coffee and there is complimentary cakes to help yourself to too!! The lounge is gorgeous with... More

The room, the staff, the breakfast service, the location, and the unexpected chamber music concert made our stay at the Hotel Beethoven so memorable. The breakfast buffet offered everything for every taste. The staff helped us to achieve our dream trip.

First of all I make no apologies for the abundance of superlatives used in describing this quaint, family-owned and run boutique hotel. It is an absolute gem of a place. The directions given from the airport to the hotel were excellent, We travelled by the CAT non-stop train (16 mins) to Wien Mitte-Landstraße, and from there we caught the U4... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Beethoven – Lovers of Vienna welcome The 4-star Hotel Beethoven lies ensconced in culture and cuisine on the “bohemian“ Naschmarkt, opposite the Papagenotor at Theater an der Wien, just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera, the Musikverein, the Museumsquartier, the most traditional Viennese coffeehouses and shopping streets. 4-star hotel situated on Vienna’s NaschmarktThe location of the 4-star Hotel Garni on the Naschmarkt lets lovers of Vienna dive right into the typical Viennese lifestyle. The market, with its dozens of little stalls and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and specialities, is a colourful and lively snapshot of Vienna, which is even more varied on Saturdays, with the farmer’s and flea market. In addition to the restaurants and cafés around the Naschmarkt, a trendy restaurant and bar scene has developed in the market area. Coupled to cultureThe culturally committed Ludwig family, which owns the hotel, sponsors numerous Viennese cultural institutions, such as the Albertina, the Mumok and the Musikverein and inspires lovers of Vienna to special cultural delights: invitations to previews, exhibition openings, museum visits and preferential ticket orders at the Musikverein. ... more   less
