My wife surfed the web to find this place, and it made our visit to Vienna extremely pleasant. First, the staff, at all levels was very accommodating. The kitchen help stocked the ample breakfast served on the Mezzanine floor. The front room, with its floor to ceiling glass window panes, was gloriously sunny. We tried to have breakfast there every... More

Speechless. Brilliance. Luxury. Servitude like no other. Those are the words that can hardly describe the Oasis this hotel is! From the were look outside, front desk, lobby, 2nd floor panorama lounge and to the rooms itself testifies the love and art of being in hotel business. Can't find anything to improve. The decor radiates "beethoven" all around from the... More

This hotel was the best hotel ever I have been to.The first day the room was not ready so they offered tea and coffee in the lovely lounge with the cleanest restrooms and english newspapers. I really liked our room. we were 3 people so we had a pull out bed which was amazing. Room had high ceilings and large... More

This is a nice quiet place just 5-10 min walk from the State Opera House. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a very good selection of breakfast items, all included in the hotel rates. Would definetly stay there again.

The location was within walking distance of the city sights. The breakfast was amazing!!! I don't think I've had a better breakfast. The amenities, room and service from the front desk was wonderful. The staff was helpful in calling us a taxi, giving us directions and asking any questions we had.

This is a lovely hotel, ideally located walking distance from the main sights, near the Opera, yet in a quiet location. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with high ceilings. The hotel put on classical music events in the evening for free for guests, including free sparkling wine! Breakfast was divine inside or in a little courtyard. I highly... More

Booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and couldn't have been happier. Not sure what the other floors are like, but our 5th floor room was excellent. Very quite, spacious and well appointed with an excellent shower (free standing, not in a bath). Hotel includes free Wifi and breakfast, with the latter offering plenty of choice. If you need a nice, clean hotel; in a location very close to everything in Vienna, without the hustle, this is the best deal. Staff is extremely helpful and professional. Rooms are very clean and well-kept. I will definitely stay at Hotel Beethoven again, next time I am in Vienna.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Beethoven – Lovers of Vienna welcome The 4-star Hotel Beethoven lies ensconced in culture and cuisine on the “bohemian“ Naschmarkt, opposite the Papagenotor at Theater an der Wien, just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera, the Musikverein, the Museumsquartier, the most traditional Viennese coffeehouses and shopping streets. 4-star hotel situated on Vienna’s NaschmarktThe location of the 4-star Hotel Garni on the Naschmarkt lets lovers of Vienna dive right into the typical Viennese lifestyle. The market, with its dozens of little stalls and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and specialities, is a colourful and lively snapshot of Vienna, which is even more varied on Saturdays, with the farmer’s and flea market. In addition to the restaurants and cafés around the Naschmarkt, a trendy restaurant and bar scene has developed in the market area. Coupled to cultureThe culturally committed Ludwig family, which owns the hotel, sponsors numerous Viennese cultural institutions, such as the Albertina, the Mumok and the Musikverein and inspires lovers of Vienna to special cultural delights: invitations to previews, exhibition openings, museum visits and preferential ticket orders at the Musikverein. ... more   less
