We had a great stay at the Hotel Kaiserhof in Vienna. The staff was great, the room was huge compared to typical European rooms we've stayed in on past trips. The air conditioning works amazing which seems to becoming more and more important when booking a stay, even in September. We purchased the breakfast twice. The price may seems a bit high but the price is comparable to what you'll to pay in central Vienna and you can eat as much as you want so its a real bargain actually. The room was very clean and in great shape. It's a 10 minute walk to Museums and opera house. One of the best hotels we've stayed in, in our 10 trips to Europe for sure.

This hotel is a first class experience in a world class city. We stayed here for four nights and the service was excellent. The ambience and overall classy feel exudes charm and warmth. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast buffet is perfect. There is also a beautiful lounge bar which offers small plates too for evening relaxed dining. The hotel is conveniently located to other neighborhood restaurants and an easy walk to the city center as well.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff were very nice and helped us plan our adventures around the city. I highly recommend them, easy access and also includes an great breakfast buffet.

Great hotel, in a great location, only a 15 - 20 minute stroll to Innere Stadt with all its sights, bars, & restaurants. Our room was light and airy, with a very large, comfortable bed. With it being quite a small hotel it gives a very intimate, cosy feel. Breakfast varied each morning and was delicious. All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, especially when it comes to recommending restaurants slightly off the tourist trail. While all the staff provided excellent service, special mention goes to the bartender, a description that doesn’t do justice to his skills, Sanjay. His hospitality on our return to the hotel, more accurately the bar, each evening was a delight. Not only a lovely man but an excellent mixologist. When we return to Vienna, still plenty to see, we will return to Hotel Kaiserhof.…

Dignified service and hotel. Small size lends to intimate service. Bountiful, fresh breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to return. Location is perfect for opera and music lovers. Very close to Karlsplatz. Recommend having Tafelspitz with applesauce horseradish and creamed spinach at Plachutta near the opera house.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in June. This was our first trip to Europe and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was excellent and the bartender in the evening was delightful. All in all we were treated like "honored guests".

Great hotel in good location for exploring Vienna. Conservative, old fashioned feel in a nice way. Breakfast is varied and delicious. Service was excellent from both the main reception and the bar staff. Rooms are functional, clean and comfy beds.

After reading all the reviews we were absolutely certain we would have amazing time at Kaiserhof - how deeply wrong we were… Upon arrival our room was cold and I asked for some extra blankets, only to learn that we can have them - the following morning. The room was outdated, the bathroom dirty (I found a black hair on the toilet seat) and there was no shower gel (the bottle was empty). So after seven hour drive we went to sleep without proper shower and with a tiny blanket each. The bed is additional disaster - they put together two single beds and placed a king size mattress over them resulting in a bed with a massive “peak” in the middle and two deep “cliffs” on each side. The hotel was last refurbished (partially) probably 30 years ago using cheapest sanitary equipment. I left two stars instead of one only because the breakfast was decent.…

We stayed six nights in a Junior Suite here, and were very happy with our stay. The room and bathroom were very spacious, and as friends traveling together, we appreciated the solid bathroom door, rather than the glass doors which are becoming so popular in Europe. in addition to drapes, the windows had motorized shades which could totally darken the room. The hotel has a great location just outside the ring, with a grocery store nearby, an Irish pub on the corner, and great restaurants in literally every direction. It's a very short walk to several transit options, and also a short walk to the pedestrianized shopping area. The staff were all super friendly, with one exception, and we really felt like valued guests. The breakfast was of very high quality, served in a comfortable room, and with excellent service. I only wish they had the delicious American-style pancakes every morning, as they alternated between those, Belgian waffles, and Austrian shredded pancakes. We stayed in hot and humid August, and we felt that the air conditioning kept the room comfortable, but not cool enough at night. The beds still had duvets on them rather than a just a top sheet, so we were a bit too warm for comfort. We also had a bit of an issue when we tried to get additional pillows per the "pillow menu". We did get them, but the gentleman we dealt with that morning at the desk was more than a trifle brusque. The hotel arranged a cab for our very early morning departure, and also gave us bagged breakfasts, which exceeded our expectations in quality and quantity. Friendly, helpful service at check in. Comfortable and spacious room, and ample breakfast choices. Convenient to city centre with plenty of restaurant choices. A nice extra of a chocolate on our pillow on arrival and a chocolate bar to take with us when we departed.
