We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Das Tigra in September. The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the main tourist attractions and Herrengasse train station. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet at night but wasn't as freshly renovated as their promotional photos suggest. The breakfast was quite good and the staff were pleasant. The elevator...

I have stayed at this hotel in excess of a dozen times and have also taken a large group to stay there in the past. This time I was slightly disappointed with my experience and thought it wasn't as good as on previous stays. This has nothing to do with the building work in the street which I think has...

Stayed at the Hotel Das Tigre for 4 nights in March. Great location close to Saint Stephens Cathedral and many other attractions. Comfortable beds and very helpful front desk staff. Stayed here with family member and we both thought the service was great. There is ongoing construction happening across the street right outside our window but only during the day...

Stayed here one night on my way to the airport the next day. Not a long stay but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. It is in a nice location right in downtown Vienna. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed end of February 2017, Tuesday-Saturday. As stated the hotel is in a great location close to everything we wanted to visit in a very quiet area. Construction work across the road which started at 0600hrs so a bit intrusive to start the day. This is not the fault of the hotel and they are doing everything to compensate the...

This hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the centre. A gem of a hotel. There is building work just across the street and the hotel have been proactive in letting guests know. Ear plugs in room + 1/2 price in the bar. We were on Third floor on street and heard nothing. Spanish riding school 10 min walk at...

We stayed here with friends recently on a short city break, it’s in a good location close to the centre and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were all very helpful, there is some building work being carried out opposite the Hotel which didn’t bother us as we were out...

I stayed in Room 555 for 3 nights this past September. The room was clean and nicely decorated and had a comfortable king-size bed with two pillow sizes, a duvet, but no top sheet, which seems to be typical of European hotels. There was also a mini-refrigerator, a desk, a small table and stuffed chair. The lighting was very good...

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
