The hotel is situated in a perfect location behind the opera in old town Wien. Staff in reception is great and very service-minded. The family room we got was reasonable, with good size bathroom. The shower is mounted a bit too low on the wall, should be easy to fix. The breakfast is as expected, great.
If you want a hotel In the centre of Vienna then you can not beat the central location of this hotel. It is within walking distance of all the major attraction and right by the major shops. The hotel advertised a world class breakfast. It was even better than their advert. The choice and quality were exceptional.Be sure to book the breakfast if you stay. The room was quite small but the bed and bedding were excellent quality and ensured a comfortable sleep. The bathroom was large and very clean. A lovely surprise. The hotel has an old world Austrian charm. The staff helpful.
We came to Austria for the Christmas markets. Found this little gem of a hotel. Perfectly situated to visit the many bars restaurants and more importantly the beautiful Christmas markets. As soon as we walked into reception we could "Smell" Christmas. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We took the lovely old fashioned lift to our room. Very clean and spacious. We quickly made our way to the bar for a quick celebratory drink. Bar is quite small for the size of the hotel.. But "HUZO" the barman made up for it, what a lovely guy he is - very warm, friendly and welcoming, he made our stay even better. (he even made some cookies at home and bought them in for my wife) The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, a real good variety of foods. Don't know if they do evening meals as we ate out at the markets, but if they do I would imagine it to be amazing. If you are planning on staying in Austria then don't book anywhere else - this place is amazing, and say hello to the "jewell in the crown Huzo". We will definitely be returning very soon. …
Stayed here for two nights in mid December 2019 with a small group of friends. Location is spot on - walking distance to the main shops, so close to the Spanish Riding School, National Library, Cafe Central etc . Rooms are spacious and clean, good bathroom with separate WC which is handy when staying with friends. Reception staff very helpful. Check-in and out very pleasant. Breakfast a little basic & sterile, but has everything you need.
Booked this hotel early on in the year for a 4 night Christmas Market break. Arrived earlier than expected but we were able to book into room which was great. Friendly reception staff and we were taken to our room (17) on 1st floor via a Quirky little lift which we loved! Arrived at the room, which as did all the rooms in hotel, had a double door on entry... Again a quirky feature!! However on entering the room the look of disappointment on my face told my hubby that I was not impressed... He wasn't wrong and after an in depth discussion went down to reception to ask if a better room could be provided. It was more like a hostel type room with en suite facilities, small in need of decoration and a very dated bathroom. The huge water stain on the ceiling directly over the bed was the deciding factor to ask for a different room along with the view from window of a rooftop scattered with cigarette butt's! However another room was allocated on the 3rd floor which was more acceptable, although still small but bathroom was very modern. Only problem was the shower which had the dual shower heads which didn't really work properly at all! We chose not to eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. Visited Cafe Motzart twice situated just behind the hotel for fabulous food and service. All in all an enjoyable few days in Vienna but would not stay here again in this particular hotel.…
