It took a bit more than 20 minutes walking briskly from Vienna Meidling train station to get to this hotel, which is quite distant from the city center. There was no one at the reception when I arrived a bit after 22:00. After waiting a couple of minutes, I took advantage of the opportunity to use the restroom. There was still no one at reception when I returned. I then called the hotel, but only got a machine. Shortly after that, someone appeared and I checked in. The key card unfortunately did not work, so I had to return to the reception. No one was there, but staff appeared quickly this time and gave me a working key card. Nothing stood out about the room, except that the shower was in the bathtub. I went into the breakfast room the next morning, but quickly determined that the selection was too scant to justifiy sacrificing HHonors points. I left immediately without having consumed anything and checked out four minutes after the breakfast room had opened, but the eagle-eyed reception staff still reminded me that "actually, it's either the points or the breakfast", as though I had breakfasted. This place was strictly average, and even that might be pushing it.

Hilton have just used COVID to reduce service levels and amenities and still charge the same price. 15 euro for a cold breakfast that you have no choice about is expensive and a ridiculous waste of food. Room not cleaned - another excuse. Restaurant not open for dinner but no reason why. 70’s style rooms that are in need of a refurb and air con never cooled 1 again controlling the temperature!

We traveled to Vienna for short family holidays in September 2020. We chose this hotel because of its perfect location, very close to many places of interest such as the sights of Vienna, malls and shopping centers as well as countryside. Public transportation is very near and withing 30 minutes you can be in the center of Vienna or in the riverside of Danube. The hotel is very nice and its people have modified its features and services effectively so all guests from the check-in obtain the feeling of care and safety against Covid-19 issue with the minimum of inconvenience for everyone. The whole complex and its surroundings are very clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, properly equipped with a nice view to the city of Vienna and the breakfast buffet had everything needed. Last but not least, it is our pleasure to praise the people of the hotel in all departments. We felt so welcomed that after our stay no one from the family wanted to leave. We stayed only two nights but with the help of the reception staff we got all the information about the area and alternative suggestions for places and activities in order to take the maximum of experience of Vienna in such a short time. Special thanks to our receptionists Paolo and Valentine for their information and guidance that saved us valuable time as well as for their professionalism in handling every single request we had. They absolutely deserve the badge of this company on their shirt. We found everything we expected, we are more than satisfied and we would strongly recommend this practical hotel for a really value-for-money and no-doubt safe holidays for families or couples!

The main reason for selecting this property was because of the location close to the railway station (Meidling) where I was planning to get the train to Graz (early departure and late return) without having to wait for additional transportation to/fro the station. From the airport, the journey was also quite efficient. Furthermore with the current situation, the price for this property (since I was going for Hilton properties) was very reasonable for a quick two separate one-night stay. Location This property is situation around some housing area (mainly high rise flats/appartments) and office buildings. There was a small mall located about 2 mins walk from the hotel and some shops and cafe/restaurant within 5-min walking distance. It looks to be a safe area from my observation even during the much quieter weekend when the offices are closed. As for transportation option, besides the S-bahn (about 1.5 km, 20-30 mins walk) which does bring you to some of the (train) stations aorund Vienna and larger cities around Austria. Would not recommend this option if you have large/bulky luggage. Other options would be with the bus (which does go close to the Museum Quartier) and a tram stop about 15-20 mins walk away. For me this point was the weakest point of the property especially if the plan is to use the hotel as tourist base (not in my case) since it does take some time to get to/fro from the main attractions. If you have a car, the location of this property should not be an issue. Check In I arrived quite late, close to 11pm at the property and was helped immediately by the on-duty Front Desk manager. It was a very friendly welcome and explanation of the facilities based on current "new-norm". I had selected my room using the Hilton app - I did see what looked like larger rooms, but since it was just a one night stay, I did not bother asking about upgrade. I was away to my room within 5 mins of arrival. Room I selected the room which was at the angle of the building, so the room was not the usual 4 squared walled room. My first impression was good - a very spacious room and well appointed layout - typical HGI. On my 2nd stay, I selected the room next to the former one - just to see if there was any big different in views based on the angle of the building. (my preference was for 435) There was coffee/tea making facilities available - with disposable cups (not sure if this is the norm or because of current situation). The TV was on the smaller side - with the usual range of international channel selections. Wifi was complimentary (to all) - for my needs the speed and connection was sufficient. The bed was large and comfortable providing a good night sleep. Climate control was ok - it did manage to keep the room temperature as I wanted (it did go down to 17 deg C - for those needing a cooler room). Only small complain was the fan noise, at the highest fan speed, it was quite audible, but one speed lower, it was much better and still managed to keep the room temperature stable - not sure if this will work on a very hot day. The bathroom size was good, with a bathtub/shower in one. Water protection was via a glass panel - which as usual was semi efficient. Water pressure and temperature was good. The hotel uses now the wall mounted refillable bottles (yes, they looked clean). [During check-in on the first stay, I was informed about this and was asked if I wanted the individual bottles and face towels - as they are not by default in the room, I was informed due to current situation, but not on the second stay]. All in all, I was satisfied with the room, it was your typical HGI room. Even during work days, with higher traffic outside the room, there was not too much traffic noise coming into the room. Breakfast I was actually dreading the worst on the breakfast offering, but I was very surprised that the hotel still offered quite a substancial offering of hot and cold items for the breakfast buffet including the afamous HGI waffle. On the first stay, because of the much warmer temperature, there was the option to sit at the patio to enjoy your breakfast (on the second stay the patio was also open, but due to the cold temperature, was not really any taker). Breakfast items on offer was of the normal quality. Service on both occasion was sufficient - in clearing tables and replenishing of the items. All in all, I was happy with how the hotel has not cut-cost in this deparment using current situation as an excuse. Overall All in all, I was satisfied with my 2 separate stay at this property, friendly staff and good level of facilities and services offered especially in current times. I would certainly return to this property. The only minor negative of this property is the location especially if the main purpose is for tourism purposes - is it still possible, but it does take some time by public transportation, of course this also depends on other factors - price of hotels closer to the attractions and travel time.

The hotel is a bit far from the city. Need to take tram or bus. There’s a nearby mall. The breakfast is good and the laundry room is helpful so you can do your laundry especially when your travelling for more than 2 weeks. You only need 4 euros. No need to buy your own detergent, unlike the Hilton Garden Inn in Krakow. Although, in Krakow, they gave us a small bottle of wine since it’s New Year. Would’ve been nice for the occasion. There are also some snacks available for purchase at the reception. There’s a free mmmm dessert on the reception on New Year. Love it. Forgot the name of the dessert, apple something.
