I had an amazing experience at this hotel, the rooms are immaculate, room service is on point and the location is so cetnral and all the major attractions, great restaurants, bars and coffee shops are all within walking distance. When I visit Vienna again this is where I will be staying and I would recommend this to everyone I know.

This hotel is exceptional. The level of service cannot be faulted. All of the staff were really friendy, welcoming yet professional at at all times. We did not use the restaurant in the evening but the breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The location was very convenient short walk to the metro and tour buses. There...

Comfortable hotel and good location. Rooms are small. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality, breakfast was also good. There were major building works in the hotel during our stay (the addition of a new block of rooms to one side ?) which is perhaps something to be noted. Avoid rooms on the front which are very noisy due to...

We got a good deal at The Triest Hotel and did thoroughly enjoy our stay. Excellent breakfast, nice service at the reception, and a very comfortable room with high-end furniture and a spacious bathroom. Was a good experience. Location close to the city centre.

Loved it. Great experience, big rooms, comfy bed, great design, good breakfast - anytime again. Location is central, tube around the corner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel has a very nice feel about it!

Check in was fast and uncomplicated. The hotel overall looks a bit unspectacular - with long clinical hallways and minimal decorations. The rooms however are great. Lots of space and everything has its place. The B&O TV and Apple Computer were great to have even I didn't really use them. The bathroom is spacious and the shower/bathtub is great. Based...

Was in Vienna for nearly a week for business and stayed at Das Triest for a week. The staff was excellent. Warm, friendly. They booked us in to all the restaurants. We also forgot a pair of shoes at the hotel and they were able to track them down and have them ready for us. We thought they were great....

This is an outstanding choice in Vienna, my new go-to. I hadn't tried Das Triest before because it is slightly outside the center. In fact, I discovered that it is very well located, just a three minute walk to the Ring (the start of the city center) and to a major metro station and only 10 minutes to the Stephansdom...

We stayed there for 8 days during Xmas and New Year period, the location is not bad if you consider to stay in the heart of Vienna ( 7-8 mins walk to Opera theatre, take tram #1 is 2 stops distance). The hotel has partnership with SPG groups, but you can't have SPG benefits during the stay which is a...

I got a good deal on Christmas using SPG points--had I paid, I might have been disappointed. The hotel is clean enough and I liked the quirky design; being a fan of Terence Conran, I felt at home. The rooms are simple but pleasant (though my room had a broken lamp) and the bathrooms have very British-feeling fixtures. The Molton...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Das Triest is a classic design hotel in the heart of Vienna. It is the masterpiece of Sir TerenceConran of hotel design in Austria. Located in the trendy Freihaus Quarter it is only 5 minutes walkingdistance to the state opera and the famous Naschmarkt. St. Stephens cathedral is reachable in a 10 minuteswalk. Some 300 years ago the building was the main station for the horse-drawn postal route fromVienna to Triest. The original stables with their vaulted ceilings were converted to lounges, suitesand conference rooms with distinctive flair. The awarded restaurant Collio spoils its guests with northitalian cuisine. The mediterranean courtyard is one of the busy city´s cherished quiet spots.
