We had a excellent room, the staff was more than polite and helpful, a nice welcome package was waiting for us. Almost the perfect stay untill.. we went for breakfast. The omelett was perfekt, but all the cold meat, the cheese and the salmon looked like it has been there for a couple days. All dried, hard and not enjoyable... More

Traveling with my father, we met up at the Bristol. Great hotel with Austrian flair Breakfast is traditional Germanic with cheeses and meat (don't expect Cheerios) Staff was great - pressed my shirt and polished my shoes with a smile!! This will be my go to whilst in Vienna

My husband and I spent a week at The Bristol in January 2016. The service from the front desk to the concierge desk was impeccable, gracious and enriched our visit. Additionally the Bristol has a perfect location for enjoying the historic section of the city. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Before getting into the hotel itself, the greatest plus is the location. Situated just across from the Opera at the beginning of the main pedestrian street Kaerntner's St. leading into the old town, and on top of a major subway station, this is the best location in Vienna - walking to pretty much everywhere. It is important to know what... More

We loved our stay at the Bristol. The hotel was charming and we had an amazing view of the opera house and loved opening the windows to view the opera house lit up in the evening. The location is perfect for exploring Vienna.

Spent most of an afternoon meeting people in the bar of the Bristol. Astonishingly Quiet during the day and early evening, comfortable, attentive service, no hassle by employees - a great experience. Phantastic place to catch up with business friends.

The entire hotel is a masterpiece. Even my wife who is not a great fan of this type of decoration, was impressed. Furthermore, its location near the historical center of the center makes it a perfect choice...

Belonging to the Starwood Hotel Group, Bristol is next to the Vienna State Opera House and offers luxury, exceptional service and Viennese flair. The rooms and suites are very nice and traditionally furnished. Free WIFI in common areas, 24 hours room service and fitness centre is available.

The is an elegant older hotel hitch has all the amenities-concierge service, gym, restaurant and elegant bar. The staff is wonderful and we had the opportunity to meet the very experienced and charming General Manager. The renovated rooms are very nice and I would advise asking for one of those. The location can't be beat-across from the opera house and... More

We made another return visit to the Bristol - this time for a week as part of a small group tour. While it has been our favourite Vienna base, we didn’t enjoy it as much this time. The hotel is superbly located at the intersection of the Kärntner Strasse and the Ringstrasse, opposite the Staatsoper. It’s within walking distance of... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
