I booked a stay of 3 nights at this magnificent hotel and the day I had to leave the hotel, I would have preferred to stay there 3000 nights and not just 3! The hotel brings you back at the time of the Kaiser Franz Joseph I. Booked a twin class and got an upgrade to a Deluxe Room: the room was amazing with all the amenities you would expect from a top class hotel like this. In my opinion even if one day they will make some works in the property the style should remain the same. The staff is absolutely helpful and friendly even before arriving in Vienna the concierge organised for us the transfers as well as a Tour with the “Fiaker”. Do not forget to ask a suggestion at the concierge for the dinner: always received top suggestion for real “Wiener” dinners. I also recommend the “Cafè Imperial” where you should try the Imperial cake, in my opinion better than the Sacher cake, and the Wiener Schnitzel. The Schnitzel I had at the Café Imperial is the best I tried while in Vienna…..Don’t forget to take a tour to the big stairs between the ground floor and first floor it is like being in a small Schönnbrun! The lobby bar is also a perfect location for a cocktail. I have to be honest is hard to find something that was not top class at the Imperial….overall an amazing stay: look forward coming again to Vienna, one of the most beautiful city in the World, and for sure staying at the Imperial!…
This hotel was more than we could have wished for! The breakfast buffet and made to order items were delicious. The concierge was very helpful getting us tickets, arranging taxis, getting reservations. It is very convenient to so many attractions, a fantastic location and I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
This is a 5* Hotel that delivers everything it says it will on the tin. Took my family for Easter weekend in order to show our daughter (almost 3) some of what Vienna had to offer for Easter as we had visited previously a few years back. We ate at the Imperial Cafe, Easter Sunday champagne brunch (special occasion), and ordered room service for dinner. Food quality was excellent, and my wife & I enjoyed the meals, specially the Easter Brunch which had very high quality offerings. Would highly recommend it. Service-wise, the hotel upgraded us on arrival (up a level to executive junior suite) which was appreciated as the new room was more spacious (always a good thing with a little 3 year old running around). They also gave us a gift of an edible Easter bunny and assorted chocolates for Easter, which was a very nice touch. Our little one loved the gift. We bounced around from the Hotel to the various activities (Prater, Museums, Schonbrunn Zoo) quite well as the Hotel is on the Kartner Ring and easy to get to via public transport (which is excellent in Vienna). To conclude, this is a beautiful hotel, with food & service to match. My family really enjoyed their stay and we would very much recommend it for families with young children. Vienna Tip: book a ZOOM Childrens museum Ocean 1hr session for your toddler. Our little one loved her time there.…
Great location, timeless building well appointed, extraordinary service and the best restaurant. Best service I have ever received for checking into a Luxury hotel. Rooms are old world but extremely luxurious. Amenities were first class - I would return again and again!
No need to say much more. The hotel, the upgraded suite, the restaurants, the service, the food, and the people working there are FANTASTIC!!!! We stayed 5 nights, upgraded to a Maria Theresa King Suite with butler service (#225) and daily champagne breakfast. Front staff were great! The building shows its history in every detail: you can feel it walking around in the hotel, the columns, the ceilings, the marble floors, the chandeliers. It is perfection everywhere!! We were also lucky to go visit the Royal Suite: 450 sqm of imperial opulence!! By the way: they make the best schnitzel (veal) I have tried in Austria! AMAZING VACATION THANKS TO THE AMAZING STAFF. A very special THANK YOU to Sindy M. at the front desk. You've made our stay there UNFORGETTABLE!! WE WILL BE BACK!…
We booked two connected rooms in the Imperial, these room were perfect, Very nice decorated, spacious and very clean. Everything you 'expect' at this level is there. What makes Hotel Imperial even more special is the staff. Of course very friendly and correct, but the wow factor was in truly motivated and focussed on you as a custmer having a good time. They did this by showing they know your preferences very fast. The table we wanna sit at breakfast, the food and and drinks we liked, giving good tips were to go in the city, remember what we asked / did. Really great place to stay
I stayed at the Hotel Imperial in Vienna for 5 nights, together with my wife and baby. We stayed in one of the gorgeous Elisabeth suites. You immediately are transported back in time but without sacrificing any comfort. You feel like royalty. Service was excellent throughout our stay. Mrs. Marina gave us a nice welcome during check-in, while Mr. Slavik introduced us to the hotel's history and the amenities in our suite. Our butler Elias was very attentive and gave us great recommendations for eating out in the city. The Cafe Imperial restaurant at the hotel is excellent. From Wiener Schnitzel to Apfelstrudel to the flagship Imperial Torte to Eggs Benedict at breakfast, the food is delicious. Mr. Hitner and Mrs. Brunner provided top notch service during breakfast, while Mr. Gruber did so at dinner time. I strongly recommend staying at the Hotel Imperial if you are looking for a luxury experience in Vienna.…
Fabulous hotel in a perfect location to explore Vienna. This is a historical hotel with much character and a special feel. The hotel is located 1km from Belvedere palace and 2 minutes away from the opera house. We stayed in a junior sweet on teh 3rd floor. Great room size, beutiful windows, huge bed and quality linen. The staff were very friendly and professinal, made you feel welcome and special. The breakfast, as you would expect was very good. The only slight negtives: the bar closes at 12:00 and you have to leave, this is probably an hour or two too early for residents plus the bathroom had no extractor fan so if you like a hot shower, it gets very steamy. Will stay here agian when visiting Vienna, great place!
The lady at reception on Saturday 9th April was very nice and welcoming, indulged me with some of the building's history. I hope she asks for and gets a raise within six months:) My room was like art, but also very peaceful and welcoming, I think i relaxed for a moment. Often you really do get what you pay for. I very much enjoyed the lady playing the harp in the bar. It was a lovely subtle backing track as i was evesdropping on a trio of middle aged, cut and paste american money men talking shop. A younger affiliate joins them later with apologies for being late. His clothes looked like he had worn them since yesterday, his hands moved with uncertainty, driven by post stimulant anxiety to search pockets for answers that are not there. As he took his seat he clocked me checking him out, our eyes locked and his brow furrowed aggressiely as i continued to look at him. I softened my eyes and smiled a knowing smile to him. I know you, or more accurately i know this mask you are wearing right now, its going to be a rough day mate. He broke eye contact as he settled into his seat, gradually rearranging his posture and facial expression to something resembling a thoughtful observer or potential consultant on important issues. He was neither, he was just meat in the room. I took a sip of my drink and disengaged from what could be considered minor harassment to enjoy the harpist and the scene for a moment before leaving for the night. Our young protagonist held form for as long as he could before excusing himself to make a strategic toilet visit. I was tempted to hang about till he came out all wired and awkward, have another champagne cocktail and watch this goon sweat embryos trying to be relevant within in a conversation he may never understand. Good luck my blatently obvious target of observation, i hope you have lovely parents. The eggs benedict were top draw. Next time im getting a smoking room, my mistake.…
A stunningly beautiful historic hotel that looks and feels like a grand palace and a spectacular art museum. Strategically located near the opera house and within a short walk to many of the palaces and sights to see. The staff are friendly and ready to help make your stay enjoyable however they can. The breakfast bar is wonderfully prepared with a variety of delicious offerings including fresh juice, breads, fruit, meats and any egg dish you would like prepared. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.
