If you appreciate a completely stress free stay - this is your place. The staff is “old world” tentative in the best sense - everyone is exceptionally nice and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible without being intrusive in any way. The food in the Cafe and the excellent Opus restaurant was actually so good that we did not even bother to venture out for dinner elsewhere. The cakes on offer in the cafe are a temptation one can not and should not resist - because they are simply fantastic. Everything is in walking distance - from the opera basically across the street to the Musikverein just next door to the numerous museums close by and the downtown shopping areas. And the bar is a great place to wind down after a busy day. That the building has all the attributes of an old palace without the shortcomings is surprising and completing the experience. We will definitely stay in the Imperial again - why bother to look elsewhere?

This was an excellent hotel. We stayed for the 150th anniversary - apparently many of the hotels were built for the Vienna World's Fair so were celebrating this milestone. We can't imagine a better one - two adjoining beautiful rooms with the best beds and linens one could imagine. Pristine marble bathrooms with separate tub, turn down service with delicious chocolate and great breakfast. Would come to Vienna again just to stay here.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Imperial. Staying there is a grand experience like no other. The property exudes both the highest class and charm. And the staff REALLY REALLY genuinely and sincerely goes to great lengths to make their guests feel welcomed. The breakfast buffet is like no other. Special thanks to Ms. Ruth Malaev in reservations and to Ms, Claudia Steinmetz and Mr. Manfred Grassauer of the concierge desk who help and assist the guests in every manner possible. They are the gold standard of concierge services. The pleasure was all ours. We hope to stay there again.

Our stay at Hotel Imperial Vienna was one of the best first-visits to a city I can remember. We had only two nights there and the hotel made sure we had an amazing experience without losing any time. A beautiful upgraded suite was ready and waiting for us at our (early) arrival hour, and Concierge Raphael had taken note of our interests and produced for us two prime seats to that night’s sold-out opera, bravo! Each aspect of the hotel’s service was of the highest standard with an extra level of genuinely warm and friendly and proactive hospitality that one doesn’t always encounter in hotels of the ‘grand’ genre. The Imperial’s location, standard of luxury and opulent historical Viennese atmosphere left a wonderful first impression. Most everything about Vienna exceeded our expectations, but having the Imperial as our home base put the marzipan on our cake.. we can’t wait to return, and know exactly where we’ll stay.

Here's a list of good points: Location Street view Ambiance Lovely big colourful room Great room temps Water pressure and temperature King size bed was really comfy Pillows were great Nice and quiet room Negatives TV was old and didn't work properly. After reporting TV was fixed but still showed only 50 odd standard cable channels. No movies, no netflix login etc. No USB ports for charging devices No plug points near the bed Weird headboard which made sitting up watch broken TV uncomfy Reception/butler rarely available on phone, probably called 20+ times (always engaged) to get answered twice. Toiletries weren't replenished over the weekend. One small bottle of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel between two people? Shower incorrectly positioned which meant you either had to flood the bathroom or shower shaped like Gollum. Room looked a bit bare, I guess the rugs got removed for CoViD and never replaced... Broken blackout (electronic) blinds (though curtains worked well) Entrance to hotel is "broken" so side doors are ridiculous as they involve queuing and a heavy door. Cafe breakfast seemed average when I checked it out.

Dear GazHD, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our location, your room and also our ambiance. It is most regrettable that you were not satisfied in all aspects and we appreciate your detailed feedback. I understand your frustration with our TV. We are currently working on adding a Smart Function to our TV´s or replacing them so than guests can watch TV but also stream something. I kindly ask you for your understanding that it will take a bit of time to implement a smart function in all of our rooms. Thank you for your patience. All of our telephones next to the bed (and also on the desk or sideboard) have a USB Slot for charging. I am really sorry if this was not communicated to you and I apologize on behalf of the team. Thank you for your feedback regarding the headboard. We will look into it. Our highest priority is the satisfaction of our guest, therefore it is a special concern for us that you feel comfortable and cozy in bed. It is most unfortunate, that you did not reach the front desk and we agree, that is is unacceptable that you could not get through to the Front Desk team. On behalf of the entire team I apologize for your inconvenience. Due to your feedback we have had a training today to train that all calls are answered immediately or must be called back directly. It was our pleasure to upgrade your booking of a Classic Room to a Junior Suite. However, the Butler Service was not included with your booking of a Classic Room. Nevertheless, you should be able to reach Room Service at all times and I apologize that you were not able to. On behalf of the housekeeping team, I would like to express my apologies that the toiletries were not replenished. Since your room was booked for one person, housekeeping only prepared toiletries for one person. Unfortunately, at check in we failed to increase the number of people and thus provide you with more amenities and replenish them regularly. Our housekeeping manager has already addressed this in your team, so that this error will not happen in the future. The bathroom in the Junior is relatively small as you described. Since our special hotel celebrates 150 years this year, we have very individual rooms. For our next renovation we will gladly consider your constructive feedback to enlarge the bathroom. Thank you very much for your feedback. Regarding the rugs: our Royal rooms have a special parquet floor instead of carpet in the room, as in their original state. Therefore, we have new parquet flooring in some rooms - like your Junior Suite - as a tribute to our 1873 Palais, and due to the beautiful parquet flooring, we do not have rugs in some rooms. I would like to apologize for our entrance door, which unfortunately has a defect at the moment. Our technicians are working at full speed to repair it as soon as possible. We find the current solution also very unfortunate for our guests and do our best to repair the door as soon as possible. Dear GazHD, please be assured that we take your feedback very seriously and have discusses it in detail with our entire team to learn from your constructive review and also to take measures to ensure that future stays meet our high standards. Once again I would like to thank you for sharing your constructive feedback, we fully appreciate your comments and apologize for failing to meet your expectations. It would be our great pleasure to welcome you back to the Hotel Imperial and provide you a more positive Imperial experience. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me ahead of a future visit to Vienna. Yours sincerely, Carla Wittemann Assistant to the General Manager & Quality Assurance
