This was our third time staying a the Hotel Imperial, and again, the entire experience was flawless. Adam is an example of someone who went above and beyond for us. Upon checking-into the suite, he overheard that we were interested in a more spacious suite. He took it upon himself to call the front desk and arranged for us to move to a slightly larger suite immediately. That's what I would call "Exceptional Hospitality." This was just one example of how the team made us feel so welcome. I want to mention the Café Imperial has the best traditional Austrian dishes and the friendliest team members. We ate at several Viennese restaurants but the Café Imperial was the best. We will be back at the Hotel Imperial whenever we stay in Wien.
We have stayed at the Imperial Hotel twice and both times it was a wonderful experience. It is located in a very convenient central area of Vienna, yet away from traffic in a sumptuous imperial residence. Both suites we stayed in (the second being a kind upgrade in a wonderful maisonette overlooking Vienna’s rooftops) were princely and spotless, marble bathrooms and luxury decorations. Chilled champagne and fruit welcomed us upon our arrival. A nice touch was also the printed temporary visiting cards. Being a nice summer, breakfast was served outside. No buffet due to Covid restrictions, but a rich and varied menu and tasty offers elegantly presented. Upon registration we have been presented with a nice kit of masks and disinfectant and all Coronavirus preventive measures were very stringently, yet discreetly followed. The true, wonderful asset of this hotel is its staff. At all levels from reception, to doormen, concierge, cleaners, waiters, to the managers, they have all gone out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Always smiling, there was nothing they could not do and made us feel at home in an Emperor’s palace. We spent wonderful days in Vienna also thanks to them. A special thank you to the Director of Rooms, Marina, who made a point of coming to greet us both times and catered for our wonderful stay. We will definitely go back…
A fabulous hotel, that started life as a palace, very close to the city. Lucky to get a room upgrade and were even shown three different rooms so we could choose which we preferred! Splashed out on the in house ‘Opus’ Michelin started restaurant which was also very impressive although I clearly have a lot to learn about Austrian wines! Lots to see and do in Vienna which is easy to get about, the bike hire is cheap and the city is very well set up for cyclists. Will definitely be going back again when the weather is better because I am sure the parks/ gardens will look stunning and all the (many) fountains will be working.
Everything exudes the atmosphere of a palace. The welcome is warm, the general areas (a.o. the lobby, stairwell, bar) have a royal appearance. The rooms are classically decorated with a.o. linen wallpaper and are comfortably furnished. We had a room with very high ceilings in the old part of the former palace and this gives an extra feeling staying in a special hotel. If you miss something, like thee cups, you only have to phone housekeeping and in no time it will be delivered. It is very nice to get a mini Imperial cake in the evening (turn down service). Breakfast is good and you can order pancakes, egg dishes like egg benedict and juice, like tomato juice. So, if you like a "classic" hotel, this is the place to be in Vienna.
Wow, what a hotel. From the minute you get out of the taxi you are greeted like Royalty. The hotel’s architecture only adds to the experience. An amazing stairwell which we walked down everyday. Our room was luxurious and spacious and as it was a special occasion the hotel added a few lovely extras which made our two day stay even more memorable, especially when you are visiting a beautiful city like Vienna. While we were there the hotel was being cleaned so was the outside covered in scaffolding. This in no way impacted on our stay but it would be worth checking because this is clearly a stunning looking building. Would highly recommend and will certainly be revisiting on our next trip to Vienna.
